A secluded Alaskan float house... People often say they've come to Alaska and lived the dream, but they haven't really lived the Alaska dream until they've spent the night in solitude in a hidden bay aboard an Alaska floathouse...When they've sat in awe as the sun kisses the sea with waves of red, gold and purple, woken to the cry of an eagle hunting for its prey, and felt the power of a humpback whale's call in the mist-filled night, then, perhaps they can say they've lived the Alaskan dream...

Vacation Rental Amenities: With an open layout, designed to house a large group, the Caboose can sleep up to seven people in two staterooms with double beds, and 4 bunks, and offers an opportunity to see the quiet beauty of Alaska that few experience.

Nothing goes better with your morning coffee than an Alaskan sunrise, a few visiting otter, and an occasional burst of air from a humpback whale passing by your secluded vacation float house.

The cabin is heated with a woodstove and has a small gas bar-b-que and propane burner stove. There is also a marine toilet and a camp shower. All bedding and cooking materials are available.

Activities and Attractions: The cabin is usually located just 20 minutes from downtown Sitka. and requires the use of a boat to get to Sitka. If you do not have your own boat, there is an 18 ft. boat that is available for renting.

And, if you'd like to combine your stay with a private fishing, hunting or sightseeing excursion, owner, Jim Phillips is a well-known hunting, fishing and sightseeing guide, registered with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

Things to Experience: Whales, sea lions, harbor seals, bald eagles, deer, deep sea and fresh water fishing, crabbing, clamming, secluded trails, hiking, campng, Sitka Raptor Center, Alaska Day Festival, Sitka Summer Music Festival and more.

Information about this special

Our cast ‘n’ blast adventure is unique and unlikely to be found anywhere else. Spend three days chasing trout in some

of the best rivers in the world for first class fishing. The scenery in the Rocky Mountains and surrounding foothills is

breathtaking so don’t forget your camera on this trip. The second half of the adventure will then move into our

waterfowl portion of the trip which takes place in the heart of Alberta’s agriculture lands. This area in littered with

fields and potholes where thousands of birds stop on their fall migration to fill their stomach’s before continuing their

journey South for the winter. You can expect up to five shoots for a multitude of geese and ducks with a variety of both

field and pothole setups.

Accommodations on this hunt will be in a comfortable motel near the hunting area. Hunters can relax after a long cold

day in the blind with a hot shower and a warm meal.

Dates for this hunt run from the second week of September until approximately the end of September.

6 Day Cast ‘n’ Blast Package: -$6000.00 plus GST (5%)

This is a 6 day adventure consisting of 3 full days of trout fishing in the Rocky Mountains and surrounding area

followed by 3 days of quality waterfowl hunting. The trip includes pickup at the airport or if driving you will be

provided with directions of where you will be met, guiding and transportation during the trip, accommodation and

meals during the trip.

Not included are license costs, bird cleaning, alcoholic beverages if desired and gratuities. Equipment can be provided

if necessary for an additional charge.

6 Day Cast ‘n’ Blast Platinum Package: -$9000.00 plus GST (5%)

This is a 6 day adventure consisting of 3 full days of trout fishing in the Rocky Mountains and surrounding area

followed by 3 days of quality waterfowl hunting. For the fishing portion of the trip you will be lodged in quality 4 star

accommodations with premium dining. Wine and or beer are also included with your evening meal. For the waterfowl

portion of the trip you will be lodged in local motels with local dining in this remote area of Alberta. Wine and or beer

are also included with your evening meal. The trip includes pickup at the airport or if driving you will be provided with

directions of where you will be met, guiding and transportation during the trip, accommodation and meals during the

trip. Licenses, bird cleaning and equipment if required are also included at no extra charge.

The only costs not included with the platinum package are gratuities.
