I recently hunted with Ridgeline Outfitters on a bull elk hunt in Arizona and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a quality outfitter. They are a very knowledgeable bunch and it was obvious from the start that they had done their homework as we were put on quality animals from the very beginning. Everything was handled professionally, from the booking process to the actual hunt and everything in between. These guys are top notch professionals and I am looking forward to hunting with them again.

In 2006 my hunting partner and I drew a New Mexico Archery Elk Tag. Before we were notified by the State, Dan Reyes with Ridgeline Outfitters had sent us a letter congratulating us and asked if we were interested in hunting with Ridgeline Outfitters in the fall. After talking to several outfitters we chose Dan Reyes because he was so responsive, easy to talk to and willing to customize a package to fit our needs.

Dan Reyes did a great job scouting the area which resulted in my partner harvesting a big 5 point bull the first evening of the hunt. During the next 4 days we saw over 35 branch antlered bulls and on the morning of the 5 th day I harvested a 5 point bull also. Dan’s Elk hunting skills are amazing. He knew where the elk were, how they would react and the best way to get in position for a shot.

My partner and I have hunted together for close to 40 years and our experience with Dan Reyes and Ridgeline Outfitters was fantastic.

My wife Lori and I would recommend this hunt to anyone who is looking for a chance to see a bull of a lifetime. Dan put us on 340 class bulls and better each day of the hunt. There were plenty of Elk, food was great and the guide service was second to none.

On the website it says “guiding hunters to trophy class animals is our business and our promise to you”. Ridgeline Outfitters kept its promise.

We hunted with Dan in 2007 and booked for 2008 before we left camp.

Dan worked extremely hard to help me get my first trophy Elk during the early bow season. It was an experience of a lifetime, we chased a 350+ Elk on the 4th morning but couldn't get quite close enough for a shot, then I got a
330 inch Elk that afternoon. Dan worked us into close position throughout the week to a 100+ head Elk herd. I learned a great deal from Dan re: hunting Elk, specifically that getting the wind right is everything. I am an experienced southeastern bow hunter, but had never hunted for Elk in my life, with Dan's guidance I was able to get my first Elk and it was a 330 inch 6 x 6 Bull! Get ready to hike and work hard for your Elk with Dan. The air is thinner in NM and AZ than here in the Southeast, due to the lack of humidity, it took me just one day to acclimate to the altitude and dryer air. I ran 3 miles 3 times a week to get ready for the trip and that advance training helped me keep up with Dan in the field. He will consistently outwork you for your own Elk, you can't ask for anything more from your guide. Thank you again Dan for the hunting experience of a lifetime!

I have hunted numerous times out west and Canada for white tail, mule deer and antelope. This was my first Elk hunt. I knew I wanted to hunt in New Mexico because I wanted a chance at a 350 class bull. I had several outfitters contact me and I chose Dan after talking to him because he was very knowledgeable and personable. He really knew the area I was interested in hunting and the class of bull I wanted a chance at. I’ve always done dui hunts before, and this was my first experience with a guide. It will not be my last because I had a fantastic hunting experience. I took a 330 to 340 class bull on the fourth morning after passing on several smaller bulls. I highly recommend Dan as a guide. You won’t be disappointed. He will give you his best shot at getting the bull you are looking for. I plan to book my next hunt with Dan. I am hooked!
