Can a cow elk hunt be a hunt of a life time. It can when hunt with Paul Moore. As an outfitter Paul is fantastic. Works very hard to make sure your hunt is everything you want. As a person, he is sincere and enjoys hunting and guiding. We felt welcomed the minute we stepped out of our car. The hunting was tough with deep snow and cold temps. Paul put us on elk every day. He allowed us to hunt the way we wanted(spot and stalk). It was a like a dream hunting in the mountains. My buddy shot his elk on the first day. I shot mine on the last. Every day was fun and truly enjoyable. The food was great. The other hunter in camp was a pleasure to hunt with, and he shot his first animal ever. It was a great experience!! W3 Outfitters will be seeing us for many years to come. Thanks again Paul for making this a very special hunt.

It is already spring but it feels like it was yesterday I was elk hunting. I went on a elk hunting drop camp along with three buddies last October with W3 outfitters and wanted to say what a wonderful trip it was. Paul and his two sons were great. Everything from our trasportation to camp set up to meat packing was just as Paul said it would be. We had three bull tags and one cow tag and had no problem filling them all. I have elk hunted with three outfitters now, W3 being the third and by far the best. All my future elk hunts will be be with W3. Thanks for a great hunt. Buddy

I've been on 3 W3 hunts and they have all been great. Paul has great hunting areas, great equipment, well behaved horses, and if you're not careful you'll gain weight if you spend to much time around the cook tent. Paul's guides know their territory and know how to hunt elk. I will definitely hunt again with Paul and hope to see you in camp.

We spent a week with Paul Moore & W3 outfitters in July. We had a wonderful time camping and horseback riding. I was very inexperienced at horseback riding, however; they provided an excellent horses for us & took great care of everything for us. The food was wonderful. We are looking forward to spending more time in Colorado with W3.

I did a Wilderness Camp GUIDED hunt Nov 6-11, 2010. My contract was for a GUIDED hunt and that is what I paid for. We had approx 16 inches of snow and the weather was cold and windy. The weather cannot be controlled and I understand that. We slept in tents at the camp which was cold but okay. The food was decent. On our "guided" hunt we left camp AFTER daylight for a 2-3 hour horseback ride where we were left ALONE without guide, without communication, without any means of shelter. Our wranglers dropped us off and took the horses off on down the trail for miles. We were picked up about 3pm (2 1/2 hours before dark) and rode our horses back to camp. This wasted 2 1/2 - 3 hours of prime hunting each morning and evening. WE HAD NO GUIDE. 8 people in camp, no one got an elk. 2 people actually saw an elk in the woods. 4 mule deer tags, no mule deer seen. The point I am trying to make is that I contracted for and paid for a guided hunt. I DID NOT RECEIVE A GUIDED HUNT. The outfitter could only say sorry you didn't have a better hunt. I had researched and heard good things and read good reviews about this outfitter. I got screwed. NOT RECOMMENDED. WILL NEVER GO BACK

My 2 friends and I just hunted second season elk with this outfitter and what a waste of time and money. We had about the same experience. Not a guide in sight. Nothing more that a glorified trail ride. There were thirteen hunters in camp and three or four wranglers. We left after 3 days.We figured why waste any more time. Do not know how he can charge for a guided hunt when there weren't any. DO NOT GO HERE !!! I rate this hunt a Zero.
