This past spring, I traveled to Trenton, Nebraska with Tracy Laws of S&J Outfitters, Jeff Pacquin of JJ Outdoors and my brother, Justin. We were going west to hunt with Tom Anderson of Wild Wing Outfitters for Rio Grande and Merriam’s wild turkeys. When we left from Lexington, North Carolina, the temperatures were in the low to mid-80s. The drive was unlike anything that I had ever experienced. The first morning, we awoke to howling winds and cold temperatures moving in from Denver. Instead of light camo, we had to wear practically everything that we had packed. Justin and I went into a creek bottom and stopped when we could see turkeys sitting in the trees above us. We let day break and watched as several hens flew down and fed away from us. There were no gobblers in the area and we decided to get in out of the 30 degree weather and 40 mile an hour winds. Jeff and Tracy should have killed a double that morning, but Tracy let his gobbler escape. Jeff had tagged the first bird, a hybrid, and the weather was getting worse. We reconvened at the truck and discussed a plan to head toward another piece of property before the weather ruined the day. The next few hours were some of the most incredible sights I have ever seen. We saw more turkeys than I cared to count. With the weather as bad as it was, and the snow starting to fall, we had to have seen 150 turkeys in fields and bottoms. On the second morning, Justin and I set up decoys in about 6 inches of snow and waited for daylight. The next couple of hours were absolutely awesome. We listened as gobblers all around us gobbled on the roost and then flew down. In one particular patch of woods, there were at least 3 or 4 gobblers together with hens. We would find out that there were actually about 10 gobblers in that group. The gobblers and several hens flew down and eventually moved away not paying us much attention. Instead of giving up, we spent the last few minutes of the last day chasing three longbeards we had spotted in a field. But, no one could hold their head down because in three days, four hunters had killed eight turkeys and had chances on several more. I guess you could say that we had to leave a seed for next year, because chances are very good that we will return.

I have hunted both deer and turkey with, and through SJ Outfitters. The thing I was most impressed with, was how much information they provided me with on ever hunt that I asked about. As a client I don’t need to talk with lots of different outfitters and try to decide which one is the best. SJ Outfitters will do that for me and I have all the confidence in the world in this company. To all the staff at SJ Outfitters, I would like to say thanks and I am a lifetime client.

I hunted with S&J Outfitters this spring in Ohio on a turkey hunt. I had a great time even though I didn't get a turkey. We got on a couple of birds, but could not close the deal. I was impressed with the outfitter so much that I booked a fall whitetail bow hunt on his property with S&J Outfitters. Everything S&J Outfitters explained about the hunt was accurate and exceeded my expectations.

To all who may concider using Tacy Laws sjoutfittersunlimited.
I was first contacted by Tracy after I had searched the internet looking
for a whitetail hunt in Missouri. He was very helpful providing
information and references. What he said about the hunt had me really
looking foward to the hunt and I was not disapointed. The hunt was very
important to me because it was for my youngest son for his senior year in
high school. He will be leaving for college next year and we needed to
make some memories that would last until he finishes college. He ended up
taking a very nice ten point on our last morning hunt and seeing the
smile on his face and hearing the excitment in his voice when he called
will last me a life time, although I didn't fill my tag this time I am
already making plans for my next years trip and I will be using Tracy's
services again.

-Thanks

Tracy,
Just wanted to touch base and thank you for the help and organization of our recent Duck and Pheasant hunt in Nebraska. Eddie,Donnie,Eddie, and myself agreed we got our monies worth and more. Limiting out 4 out of 5 days, and hunting in different settings was a real treat. Our Guides Tom and Craig keep us busy with hunting activities both Duck and Pheasant. Their willingness to let us dictate our hunts, were and how, was much appreciated. Our group has traveled on many out-of-state hunts, and we all said this would be a return destination next year and years to come. Just one visit to Google Earth shows that the Manitoba area of Canada and it's millions of acres of perfect Duck habitat, and Nebraska being in line due south prove to be the place to be for tens-of thousands of Ducks migrating our way. I can now say I've seen a "Duck Tornado", the wonderful thing about this sighting was I was locked and loaded in the middle as they came into our cornfield. It was obvious Tom and Craig spent much time scouting, and have great access, to these chosen corn fields. The lake hunting we did was a surprise also as to simulating a timber hunt, in Arkansas. Our accommodations were clean and comfortable. Our dogs were welcome, and allowed to stay inside also. This helps while traveling with all gear necessary for Duck Hunting cross country.
- Thanks form all of us, Mike

My brother in law and I were looking for a reasonably priced whitetail bow hunt that promised lots of action. Tracy contacted me about his place in
central Ohio. We booked the hunt, with Tracy's help, for January '09. It was cold but the action was hot. Everything from the bucks to the food and lodging was excellent and just as Tracy explained it would be. Thanks to Tracy at S & J Outfitters and Joel!!!!!
Sincerely,

I would like to tell S&J Outfitters how much my company appreciates their services.
It takes alot of work away from us to know we can rely on your company to help us
pick an outfitter that will make the best of our time while filming. While in
Missouri we made a last minute call to S&J outfitters and he placed us with one of
his outfitters there and we had a great time. This place was first class all the way
from the people we met to the property we hunted. Feel free to give out my number to
anyone needing a reference.

Thanks,

In the 2006 bow season, I brought a big Ohio whitetail home with my bow after hunting with S&J Outfitters for a week in Knox County. That was the first ten point buck that I had ever taken and the first for anyone in my immediate family. Well as the old saying goes, “there is a first time for everything.” That big ten pointer seemed to be the turning point and open the door for some other lifelong dreams. Before November of 2006, I had never deer hunted outside of North Carolina. That would all change after I went to Ohio and hunted with S&J Outfitters. On that trip to Ohio there were 8 hunters in camp and there were 5 Pope and Young bucks taken that week. I cannot for the life of me think of a bad thing to say about S&J and their staff or outfitters. I would recommend going back and as a matter of fact, I will be going to try another outfitter next season. Coming from a skeptic raised in North Carolina, they really can send you on a dream hunt !

In November 2007, I traveled to Kentucky to hunt with S&J Outfitters. I was so impressed with the staff and the outfitters from my 2006 trip that I wanted to go back, but to a different outfitter. We had another terrific trip and among eight hunters in camp, there were 5 shots taken with 3 confirmed kills on Pope and Young whitetails. The outfitter was superb and I would recommend the services of S&J Outfitters to anyone.

In the May of 2008, I booked a spring turkey hunt with Wild Wing Outfitters upon the recommendation of S&J Outfitters and their staff. My brother and I traveled to Trenton Nebraska to try and finish a grand slam since Wild Wing supports both Rios and Merriam. Among 4 hunters in camp, we harvested 8 mature long beards and could have taken more. The experience was unlike any other that I have ever had in my home state of North Carolina. Once again, S&J Outfitters proved to be honest, ethical and able to deliver.

I booked a whitetail hunt in Ohio with SJ outfitters this January, and saw some monsters while I was there. I had an awesome time, and will be going back .I did not harvest a deer, but the outfitter treated me very well and he worked his tail off trying to get me a good buck. I did have a chance at a very nice buck but didn’t connect. Tracy Laws really cared about how I was doing, he worked just as hard to make sure I was enjoying myself. He called to see what I was up too while I was there, and has been in contact with me since I've been back. Tracy will not mislead you; he’s a good person that wants his clients to be successful. I will most defiantly be booking through SJ outfitters again.

I booked a deer hunt with SJ Outfitters two years ago and was able to harvest my first doe. The next spring I went to Ohio on a turkey hunt with SJ Outfitters, and harvested my first turkey. This past year I went on another deer hunt with SJ Outfitters and harvested two does during the same hunt. These facts may not mean much too some hunters, but my name is Trevor and I was only 5 years old when I killed my first doe. The next spring I was only six years old when I harvested my first turkey. And that fall at the age of six, I was able to harvest two does during the same hunt. But that is still not the best part of this story. You see Tracy Laws with SJ Outfitters is my dad, and he sat his passion for hunting aside to help me find my passion for hunting. My dad has a heart of gold and loves his job. He wants his clients to have memories like we have, the good thing about this is that you don’t have to be young to start having memories; you just need my dad to head you toward your passion. I’m only seven years old now and he has more hunts booked for me than my mom will let me go on. These words are from my heart, but my mom had to help me type this. To my daddy, I love you very much and appreciate everything you do for me. I know that I aggravate the horns off a Billy goat, but you still take time to have me in the woods learning about the principals of hunting. I only hope that we can someday take the gun out of my hand and put in the hands of my little brother Landon.
