We went to the Majestic Eagle lodge to celebrate my father’s 65th Birthday and my daughters 9th. It was fantastic. The lodge was very clean and the food was great. The sleeping cabins are relatively small, but there is plenty of space in the main lodge area. The lodge staff and the owner, Wendy, were all extremely friendly and very helpful in getting us set up to head out fishing. The whole staff went above and beyond in making my daughter feel at home, even letting her tag along for bait sorting, crab cooking, or other fun. They even made my daughter a special birthday cake and she was grinning ear to ear.
It was very easy to get out to fishing. The boats ran great and they had all the gear you need. The water was calm. Although the kings were not biting, there was plenty of fun still to be had out halibut fishing and we brought home enough fish to feel like we accomplished something. We highly recommend the lodge and can’t wait to get back.
