I would recommend this outfit to anyone. The accomodations were excellent. Lodge, food, guides etc. were fantastic. We had warmer than expected weather and still had opporunities at trophy Whitetils. As far as a bowhunt goes, under those conditions, it couldn't have been any better. Chris Shores and Todd Poe worked his tail off for us and the guide John Choate was very knowledgable and one of the nicest guys you would ever want to meet. I look forward to going back next year if there are any openings by the time I come up with the cash to go. I have never seen so many deer out of the stand at any one sitting in my life. At one point I had approx 60 deer out in front of me with several shooters in the group. If your looking for a hunt with good folks, who will become your friends and worldclass animals ( I personally came within an eyelash of a 150+ buck- just 2 more steps) then this is your outfitter. Book with them, you wont regret it.

River to River Outfitters have a really nice operation going there. I've been on 2 hunts there, I took a nice 10 pointer the first year that grossed about 150", but the second season out I didn't bring a buck home, but still had a good hunting experience with these guys and can't say anything bad about it. Todd Poe and Chris Shores lead the operation, with quite a few experienced guides working hard to put bucks in the trucks! My buddy took a great buck there last year, and we are going back out in 2008, and hopefully keep the tradition going. If you are from PA, you will like the difference between hunting PA and southern Illinois Whitetail. They hang the stands just perfect for great shots and know where the deer are moving to and from.
Use your money wisely and book a hunt with these guys. It is a great place to go with a group of friends. We have a blast out there.

Very nice outfitter with good properties to hunt on. We go early season and see large numbers of deer even during the warm early archery season. I've taken good bucks there, so of course I would be giving a good review, but even if I didn't bring a buck home, I would still return there. The guides know the deer movement and placed us in very good locations. The lodge was really nice, clean and comfortable, the food was great, and the hospitality I'd rate next to none! I feel they do everything in their power to get every hunter a good shot at a mature Illinois Whitetail buck. Their prices are great for this calibur of hunt. I've talked to a lot of people that have hunted with them and every one was satisfied. I can't wait to see what this year has in store.
