I hunted with Steeprock River in 2007 and 2008, and have a trip booked again for the spring of 2010. I've killed 2 large color phased bears with my bow, and the folks are great. Accomodations, food, guide service and willingness to get the client a bear cannot be beat. I highly recommend this outfitter.

This was my first guided hunt of any kind and I couldn't have had a better experience. The food was great, the accomodations were quite comfortable, and the guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. I was hoping for a big bear or a color phase and I was lucky enough to get a big cinnamon boar. Awesome. I will be back to Steeprock soon.

I just finished up a 2009 bear hunt with Steeprock River Outfitters, my father and I were both successful and couldn't have been more pleased with not just the guide service but with every aspect of the hunt. My father has some medical issuses that limit his mobility and Wayne was more than accomadating. I can't say enough about everyone at Steeprock River Outfitters. I would recomend them to any of my friends and look forward to returning to hunt with them again.
