Alaska Brown Bear Hunts: Cruise the shoreline in a 14-foot skiff, glassing and waiting for the wind to turn. Disembark and make your way on foot up streams choked with spawning salmon. In this vast, unspoiled region, it’s common to encounter 20 to 30 brown bears during a 10-day spring hunt.
