About Ready Outfitters

Fly fishermen from all over the United States and abroad come to fish for trout in the Selway-Bitteroot's remote blue ribbon streams and lakes.

Ready Outfitters offers anglers the chance to fish five scenic high-country lakes and miles of clear, fast flowing streams. You will travel on trails of unspoiled beauty and ride where trappers, outlaws and the proud Nez Perce Indians once rode. Our camp on the East Fork of Moose Creek is situated in a forest of majestic giant cedar trees. Some of them are more than 2,000 years old and 25 feet around. The beauty and solitude will take your breath away.

We offer a 5-day for $1200 per person and a 7-day for $1850. We can take a minimum party of 4 or a maximum of 8 people. We also give a 6% discount for 6 or more people in the same party.

We would like to be your hosts with a trip into Idaho's beautiful and rugged Selway-Bitteroot Wilderness. Both our fall elk, deer, moose, bear and cougar hunting and summer fishing packages provide the ultimate back country experience, starting with a horseback ride through one of the most scenic areas in North America. You'll view spectacular mountain vistas and clear rivers and streams. Wildlife, including deer, elk, bear, moose, mountain goats, bald eagles and small animals are abundant along the trails.

About Trout Creek Outfitters

OUTDOORSMAN.COM OUTFITTER OF THE MONTH - SEPTEMBER 2007

Late Season Cow Elk Hunt: Regularly $1,250 - now just $750

3 day muzzleloader hunt, November 16th - December 19th. Five hunts available. *Please note: there may be a potential December rifle hunt for the same price.

Idaho Bull Elk Hunt: Regularly $4,500 - discounted to $3,000

Hunt runs October 15th - 24th. 100% private ground fair chase. 3,000 acres of varied terrain and great elk habitat. Last year all nine hunters had opportunities to get a bull elk - they weren't all huge, but they were good bulls.

Accommodations and Hunt Details: Have your choice of rustic log cabin with a wood burning cook stove, hydrant water and outhouse or a comfortable quaint hotel in Grace Idaho. Meals are provided for all 3 day hunts. Mrs Jensen is a superb cook and very meticulous about satisfying different hunters appetites. All meals will be prepared and eaten at the camp headquarters touching the foothills of the 3000 private acres which consists of CRP ground, cedar and pine covered hills, quaking aspen stands and some deep canyons. This is ideal elk habitat and tends to be a sanctuary for the local herds when the outside pressure is on. The bulls are average size with an occasional 300 class, more than likely it will be a 5 to 6 point bull in the mid 200 range. These hunts are fully guided with a 2 hunters per guide and consist of spot and stalk off of ATVs. The outfitter has horses that are used to retrieve the animal once it is down.

Other Activities: Bring along your spin or fly rod to knock out the afternoon doldrums on a private stretch of Idahos renowned trout creek which is aptly named. If you have the appropriate waterfowl tags you can jump shoot ducks and geese off private property on the bear river. The pheasant hunt will be in full swing and there will also be plenty of opportunity to take some nice roosters in some of the low rolling farmland.

Additional licenses & fees: Out of state Elk license ($372.50), Out of state one day fishing ($11.50), Federal waterfowl stamp ($20).

We know Todd personally and can vouch for his integrity and drive to please his clients. He makes sure that his clients leave satisfied with their experience. When you arrive at his place, in Thatcher Idaho, you will feel right at home and will be taken care of for the duration of your hunting or fishing trip. The deer and elk love the seclusion, and feed, on his property so the opportunities to shoot big game remain high throughout the season.
