Welcome aboard the Dawn II, a 46' fiberglass twin diesel charter boat, complete with air conditioning, lots of room and modern toilet facilities. Captain Larry Simns, a lifetime waterman of Rock Hall knows the area and the bay. He invites you to enjoy a day on the Chesapeake Bay fishing for striped bass, better known as rockfish. Trophy season runs from Spring to early Summer. Fall season starts in late Summer and runs until late Fall. Dates to be announced yearly. There are also many other species available throughout the year.

State of the art equipment such as Fish Finder, Loran, Radar and water temperature gauges are on board as well as modern fishing tackle, spinning rods, trolling rods, fishing lures, weights and hooks. Bait is included. Charter vessel Dawn II will carry a party of six, including children. Larger parties can be accommodated. Safety equipment aboard the boat is fully approved and inspected by the U.S. Coast Guard. While fishing aboard the Dawn II, no individual license is needed. When you call, be sure to ask about season limits, size limits and creel limits on spot, perch, catfish, bluefish and croakers. Other species may also be available, depending on the time of year.

Capt Wayne Lewis is a native of Chincoteague Island and holds a United States Coast Guard Masters Vessel License. Spending his life fishing and hunting the waters around Chincoteague, his knowledge of the area assures his customers of a memorable trip. His boat, the Wonderfull 1, is a spacious 32 foot vessel with a canopy and head. For smaller parties and flats fishing, he operates a 19 foot Carolina Skiff.

Chincoteague Island is also known for it's waterfowl that migrate through here every year. Located just hours from Washington and Philadelphia, it offers the best in hunting and exploring the marshes that surround the island.
