Taxidermists
Information about Taxidermy
The taxidermists listed below are some of the best in the industry. Whether you have big game animals that need taxidermy or fish that need to be recreated, you will want to contact our taxidermists for top quality work.
Taxidermy (Greek for "the arrangement in the skin") is the art of mounting or reproducing animals for display.
Once you have harvested an animal that you want to mount, it is very important that you properly take care of the hide. In any case you want to skin the animal as soon as possible. This makes sure the hide does not get to warm so that it does not spoil and ruin the cape. Once you have completed this step you want to get the hide to the taxidermist as soon as possible. If you are in a location where you can’t get the animal to the taxidermist immediately it is imperative that you freeze or salt the hide. By doing these steps it will help ensure that the cape/hide is in perfect condition when the taxidermist receives it. [wiki]

About Full Curl Taxidermy
Full Curl Taxidermy is located in the mountains of Utah in the beautiful Cache Valley and has been producing high quality mounts for 15 years. Randy Stocker owner and master artisan has been in the taxidermy field for 30 years. The goal of Full Curl is to provide each customer with a mount that will capture the spirit of each animal so that you as a hunter can relive that very special hunt each and every time you look at it. Full Curl strives to provide each customer with individual attention and to help you help us create the custom look you expect and want for each of your mounts.
We are committed to providing every customer with competition quality mounts. Randy Stocker, owner and master artisan, has over 30 years experience in the field of wildlife artistry. Randy's ability to recreate your hunt with a quality and lifelike mount is made possible through his extensive knowledge of animal anatomy.
He has gained this knowledge through his work as a trapper and as an Animal Damage Control Officer for the state of Utah. This position gave him the opportunity to spend countless hours observing animals in the field and to gain hands on training in animal anatomy (which most artisans take years to accumulate).
Randy has also had the opportunity to hunt throughout the world, focusing on exotics and African species. His ability to recreate an African lion poised on the wind swept sand dunes of Tanzania comes from being there and living it first hand. These life changing experiences have given Randy the personal vision that enables him to bring the wild to your wall with each custom mount.
