About Spotted Horse Ranch
The Spotted Horse Ranch has been Outfitting hunters since 1961. We have two camps, as well as ten guest cabins at the ranch. We currently own more than fifty horses, so we will be sure to have one to suit your style. Elk, Deer, and Moose hunts take place from our Hunter Creek Camp, located sixteen miles into the backcountry. This camp is the larger of the two, in the heart of 152,000 acres of the Bridger-Teton National Forest.
Such amenities as a heated shower tent, large cook and dining tent, and running water are in place during the summer season as well as the fall hunting season. Accommodations are canvas wall tents, 10’X12’, each equipped with wood stove for heat, cots, pads, nightstands, and lights. Hunters sleep two to a tent. Two private restroom facilities are available. Dining is in our spacious cook tent, and meals are served family style. Soda pop, Water, juice and beer are provided to each hunter. We are happy to pack any other beverages to camp for you. While hearty food is the rule, special diets can be attended to as well.
On arrival at the Spotted Horse Ranch, you will have all the amenities of the Ranch available for you use, including lodging in one of our guest cabins, hot-tub, sauna, and all meals. We can transport you to a 100-yard range just south of Jackson to check your rifle. To ensure that our horses stay fresh and healthy, we rotate each day to a different horse. Two horses and a saddle will be selected for you for the following days ride into Hunter Creek Camp. Scabbards and saddlebags are provided as well. Wyoming State Law allows up to six hunters to one guide in our area, but we have found that two to one gives not only a better quality hunt, but increases our success ratio as well.
You will have a total of seven nights in Hunter Creek Camp, riding/hunting, out on day eight to return to the ranch. All meat and trophies are cared for by experienced packers, and transported to the ranch to our walk-in meat cooler. Meat processing and taxidermy are both available in Jackson. The country we hunt is steep and rugged, and much hunting will be done on foot as well as horseback; please consider the physical nature of such a hunt.

About Tangle Ridge Outfitters
Professionalism and Pride are the keys to providing the best in high quality, personalized adventures for every client. Tangle Ridge Outfitters & Guides are committed to providing our guests with an experience they won’t soon forget. We believe that a successful hunt cannot be measured solely by the harvested trophy, but more so by the total experience.
Our business is family owned and operated mainly in the Bighorn National Forest under a Special Use Permit. We also operate on private land leases. We very carefully select our ranches for both quantity and quality of game. Our hunts are 100% fair chase, with no game fences or guaranteed kill situations. We offer rifle and archery hunts for Elk, Mule Deer, Antelope, Moose, Bear, Cougar, and a variety of combination hunts, which means we are sure to have a hunting opportunity to suit you. Accommodations vary on different hunts from deluxe wall tent camps, cabins or bunkhouses, to farm house and in some cases modern motel facilities. Please ask for details on specific hunts.
Tangle Ridge Outfitters & Guides was founded by hunters, for hunters. We believe that anything worth doing is worth doing well. Our guides are licensed and knowledgeable and will accompany you 100% on your hunt to ensure the best possible chance at harvesting an animal. They are skilled and experienced individuals that know their business. They will pack, dress, skin, and cape your trophy. They share our views and are committed to doing everything possible to make your hunt a success, and an experience you will want to enjoy again and again.
Unlike “Big Time” outfitters we like to keep a lower profile and get to know our clients. Your stories become our stories and vice versa. The time spent in camp around the campfire or the dinner table, getting to know each other, is undeniably one of the best aspects of the hunt. Over the years many of our clients have become “regulars” and are now more like friends or family than clients. We are proud of this and sincerely hope for the opportunity to provide you with a totally satisfying experience and a chance to prove that this is how hunting ought to be.

About Wyoming Expeditions
ELK HUNTING is their PASSION! Unlike other outfitters who offer many different species, Wyoming Expeditions doesn‘t claim to "do it all" - nor do they want to. They hunt elk and have access to some of the best elk hunting in the country - the Thorofare.
LOCATION: Hunting camp is located 9 miles from Yellowstone near the headwaters of the Thorofare River in NW. Wyoming. Camp is located in the remote Teton Wilderness of the Bridger-Teton National Forest. The nearest town is Cody, WY - 50 miles away!
HUNTER SUCCESS: Over the years, 80-85% of hunters went home with a bull elk and rarely smaller than a 5x5. Opportunity is near 100% and hunters see elk just about every day! They also offer 2 rifle elk rut hunts in September when the bulls aren’t just bugling - they are screaming!
All elk hunters want to hunt in an area with plenty of elk and many outfitters claim great elk hunting. You make up your own mind about Wyoming Expeditions after you view this video that was filmed in their hunting area.
More than just an "elk hunt", They offer Wyoming Expeditions. Backcountry adventures where hunters travel into the wilderness the same as it was done over a hundred years ago, on horses and mules.
Your hunting fee will include from pick up in Cody on the morning of your hunt, transportation back to Cody after your hunt, a cook and hot meals, horses, mules, hunting guide, spacious wall tents and army style cots with a pad. All you need to bring is your personal gear which includes a sleeping bag and your weapon. A list of recommended gear will be provided for you after you get your license.
They will transport your meat and antlers to Cody; however, you will be responsible for the processing and taxidermy fees and for the transportation of meat and antlers to your home.
