There are no internal fences at Alpine Hunting - all species run together and you’ll hunt for your trophies from an abundance of game. From fly fishing our stunning rivers and backcountry streams to coastal sport fishing and deep sea fishing for the biggest striped marlin in the World, New Zealand offers numerous fishing opportunities to cater for all tastes and skill levels.

Guided Fly Fishing: Great as a single or multi-day add-on after your hunt with us! We'll whisk you up to the Lake Taupo region and arrange a fully inclusive package incorporating your accommodation, licenses, equipment and plenty of fly fishing fun with our very experienced local guides.

Deep Sea & Coastal Sport Fishing: New Zealand is the best location in the world to target large Swordfish and Striped Marlin. Blue and Black Marlin, Spearfish, Bigeye and yellowfin tuna, Dolphinfish and world class yellowtail kingfish attract serious big game anglers from around the world and the Outer Limits crew provide a premier fishing experience for everyone from seasoned pros to novices.

Charter Boat at Lake Taupo: Surrounded by bush-clad volcanic mountains, Lake Taupo is the South Pacific's largest freshwater lake. Fishing for rainbow and brown trout on Lake Taupo is an experience that can be enjoyed trolling in total comfort. Skipper Les Ingram has close to 40 years experience on the Great Lake so you can be assured of getting to where the fish are biting with a friendly, personal service.

Raft Fishing: New Zealand river gorges are unsurpassed for scenic beauty and the Rangitkei River is no exception! Launching from Alpine Hunting's private access you can hunt in the morning and then enjoy a total 5 - 6 hour day trip with your fishing guide in a raft used to access remote parts of the river.

Heli Fishing: Heli fishing is available at Alpine Hunting's north Island lodge for any hunters booking a 7 night hunt between March and late April. For private group bookings, heli fishing is also available outside of our hunting season between October and February.

Heli Fishing: Heli fishing is available at Alpine Hunting's north Island lodge for any hunters booking a 7 night hunt between March and late April. For private group bookings, heli fishing is also available outside of our hunting season between October and February.

Our Alpine Hunting team includes our very own guides in the nearby Lake Taupo region for trout and spin fishing, and we’ve also teamed up with NZ’s top game fishing skipper Geoff Lamond for game fishing charters and the ultimate NZ hunt n’ fish adventure. Our hunting lodge is situated near the headwaters of the magnificent Rangitikei River, and with our very own private river boundary available exclusively for our guests it would be hard for anyone to beat such a great opportunity to experience the great New Zealand outdoors.

If you'd like to take a short break in the middle of your hunting day to fish the Rangitikei River, your hunting guide can take you to our River boundary to enjoy the tranquil and scenic setting that is accessible only to our hunting guests. In the warmer months, if you're nice to our chef he may even prepare a picnic lunch you can enjoy on our private landing as you dabble in some catch and release trout fishing. (We have 3 miles of river frontage however due to difficult terrain only limited access is available between February and late April by request only).
