Annahootz Alaskan Adventures guide Jim Phillips has over 45 years of Alaskan knowledge to provide to his clients. All of Annahootz Alaskan Adventures are boat based. You will have a unique experience on these boat based hunts for black and brown bears, Sitka black-tailed deer, and mountain goat.

Annahootz Alaskan Adventures bear hunts are conducted on the Prince of Whales Island. This area is known to produce some of the largest trophy size black bear in Canada, including the United States. My 42' boat acts as a base camp on our hunts, you will be sent out on smaller skiffs to explore inlets and shoreline where a spot and stock can take place.

When you book a first class fishing trip with Annahootz Alaskan Adventures you will have an opportunity to angle for both fresh water and salt water fish. These trips are both exciting and action packed.

	$4500	Alaska Black Bear Hunts - Prince of Whales Island Hunting Black Bears on Prince of Wales Island in SE AK Black bear hunts take place on Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska. Prince of Wales Island produces more trophy size black bear than anywhere else in Canada or the U.S.. My hunts are boat-based on a forty-two foot cruiser as base camp and then spotting and stalking from small skiffs. I hunt the beaches, tidal flats and estuaries for bears. I have been guiding on P.O.W. for over ten years and every year take one bear with over a twenty one inch skull and have taken several over eight foot squared. Includes fishing while you are there. 7 day hunts. Price is $4000 per person but bring a group of 4 hunters and it is only $3500 per person. Please call or email for more information. 	$1000	Alaska Floathouse Fishing Rental - Sleeps 7 A secluded Alaskan float house... People often say they've come to Alaska and lived the dream, but they haven't really lived the Alaska dream until they've spent the night in solitude in a hidden bay aboard an Alaska floathouse...When they've sat in awe as the sun kisses the sea with waves of red, gold and purple, woken to the cry of an eagle hunting for its prey, and felt the power of a humpback whale's call in the mist-filled night, then, perhaps they can say they've lived the Alaskan dream... Vacation Rental Amenities: With an open layout, designed to house a large group, the Caboose can sleep up to seven people in two staterooms with double beds, and 4 bunks, and offers an opportunity to see the quiet beauty of Alaska that few experience. Nothing goes better with your morning coffee than an Alaskan sunrise, a few visiting otter, and an occasional burst of air from a humpback whale passing by your secluded vacation float house. The cabin is heated with a woodstove and has a small gas bar-b-que and propane burner stove. There is also a marine toilet and a camp shower. All bedding and cooking materials are available. Activities and Attractions: The cabin is usually located just 20 minutes from downtown Sitka. and requires the use of a boat to get to Sitka. If you do not have your own boat, there is an 18 ft. boat that is available for renting. And, if you'd like to combine your stay with a private fishing, hunting or sightseeing excursion, owner, Jim Phillips is a well-known hunting, fishing and sightseeing guide, registered with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. My wife, my son & I all had a successful trip, and a truly memorable experience on our black bear hunt. Being Jim's first hunt of the 2008 season, with less than optimal weather, Jim & Ben worked very hard to ensure our success and comfort. Great accommodations,food and an overall relaxing atmosphere. One thing I've learned, having been on several other guided hunts, is there is no substitution for personalized care from a guide and outfitter, so we will be hunting with Jim again as soon as we are able.
