Atlantic Rivers Outfitting Company operates 3 lodges in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Each lodge and location is quite distinctive and finds its own niche of angler, hunter and adventurer.

Main River Lodge is located in the heart of the Great Northern Peninsula of northwestern Newfoundland. The river exhibits healthy populations of Atlantic salmon and brook trout that prompted Lee Wulff to establish an outpost camp there in the 1950’s.

The wide river valley of Main River has an excellent mix of mature forest, riparian vegetation and open bog areas, which are prime big game habitats. We schedule the big game hunts to occur during the prime rutting season, which allows our experienced guides to take advantage of moose behavior. The guides will have you captivated by their skill in “calling” moose. Woodland caribou and black bear combinations hunts are also available and provide the opportunity to experience even more of our great wilderness.

As angling and hunting seasons fade to winter the area transform into one of the most spectacular places to snowmobile in Canada. The Lodge is at an elevation of 425 meters thus typically the first area of the island to realize a great winter.

Hunt River Lodge is located in northern Labrador. The Lodge was opened to the public in 2011 and we are operating the Lodge as an experience on par with the finest of international fly-fishing destinations. Many of the pools are ideal for dry fly surface takes of Atlantic salmon and sea-run trout. The clarity of the water provides spectacular visuals of fish making their move for the fly – ultimately testing the angler’s two-dimensional skills. Hunt River Lodge showcases the extraordinary beauty of the remote northern Canadian wilderness, world class angling at numerous pools around the Lodge, walking trails, fine cuisine, friendly service and more. We strive to make your visit to Hunt River Lodge an indelible experience that will keep you coming back.

St. Lewis River Lodge is located in southern Labrador. The Lodge will be open for Atlantic salmon fly-fishing in 2013. We have taken extraordinary measures in the design and construction of the Lodge as a fitting tribute to this incredible river and world class Atlantic salmon resource.
