About Brite Ranch
Our family has been in the cattle business on this 350,000 acres for over 125 years! Ranching and hunting - that's not what we do, its WHO WE ARE. Our properties are located in and around Marfa, TX in Presidio County - nearby towns include Alpine, Fort Stockton, Van Horn and Marathon, TX. This area is exceptionally beautiful and has a huge population of Free Ranging Aoudad, Desert Mule Deer, Pronghorn Antelope and Javelina.
We are located in West Texas in the Capote Mountains! Brite Ranch and White Ranch have over 350,000 private acres to hunt in and around Marfa, TX. The Brite and White Ranches have been family owned working cattle ranches since 1885! Nearby towns include Alpine, Fort Stockton, Van Horn and Marathon, TX.
Our rugged desert mountains are home to the Desert Mule Deer, Pronghorn Antelope, Javelina, Free Range Aoudad (from 28" to 35" trophies!) and we have excellent Quail and Predator hunting as well. All hunts are free range. The ranches have been in the family for generations! We have groups that have hunted with us for over 30 years.
The Brite Ranch has been a regular stop for the hosts of MOJO Outdoors TV and Hunting Across America TV for many years. You can hunt where the TV shows are filmed!
Meals and lodging are provided for our hunting guests. Bunk house will sleep up to 20 and we also have private accommodations for a small number of hunters.
Testimonials
Not only did Cuatro offer an excellent Aoudad hunt, but he provided plenty of different species of game for two of my uncles who accompanied me on the hunt to chase around. I shot a 32” Ram with nearly 14” bases, and my group killed several Javelina, Quail and other Predators. I saw over 300 Aoudad before I found the one I wanted.
We are already making plans for our next trip to the Brite Ranch in the fall…
With a 500 yard shot from the edge of a cliff, an aoudad down and the excitement of putting my hands on my first trophy, we were running out of daylight and had some of God's most rugged country working against us. After we snapped the drive shaft on our mule, I was sure we were headed back to camp to call it a night. Most guides probably would have. Not Cuatro. He grabbed his pack and some water and said," If we hurry we can be back by dark."
Every detail of my experience deserves a spot on this page, however I will sum it up by saying I could hunt the rest of my life and will probably never shoot an aoudad as big as the one I took that day at the Brite. It ended up measuring 34 7/8 inches, SCI of 150. Cuatro packed out 60 pounds of chaps and horns 3 miles across the face of a mountain so I wouldn't lose my kill to coyotes or mountain lions. The man is as tough as a coffin nail. He’s the kind of guide that isn’t satisfied until his hunter has what he came for.
If there is any question about where to book your next hunt, my highest recommendation goes to the Brite Ranch with Cuatro White. The trophy horns, as well as the story I brought home, are proof that you will not be disappointed.
