Let us show you waterfowling as it should be! Join us in witnessing the fall migration in the mid-lakes Allan Hills Region of Saskatchewan. The rolling Allan Hills, a geological feature left from the last ice age, contains thousands of water holes and marshes.

Our hunting area, Wildlife Management Zone 22, contains over 1,500 square miles and lies between Lake Diefenbaker and Last Mountain Lakes. It also contains several large man-made irrigation reservoirs and dams. In fall it’s proximity to two major flyways makes it a staging ground for millions of birds. We have excellent landowner relations because we live and hunt here.

Your guides are avid hunters who are excited to share their experience in a northern prairie environment full of geese fresh for their migration.

Great Canadian, Lessers, Speckle Bellies, Snow and Ross Geese are all abundant in the morning shoot but be sure to bring a lot of duck loads as well. There is usually a lot of quack action in the morning shoot.

Afternoon’s focus is on ducks over water or in the fields. There is nothing quite like spending your afternoon sitting in a blind over a marsh and listening to the relaxing sounds of quack-boom-splash. Sandhill Cranes are also abundant in the area and can be targeted for some exciting afternoon hunts.

Our spotters and guides will use their judgment to put you on, what they feel, is the best opportunity for the next morning, but the final decision is yours.

Guides will do set up of decoys but if everyone pitches in, some additional sleep can be had. Dark Goose hunts are made successful with the use of 8+ dozen full body Big Foot Decoys. Snow Goose hunts utilize a set made up of dozens of shells in conjunction with silhouettes and Texas rags if needed. Individual Avery Finisher blinds (layout blinds) woven with natural cover are strategically placed among the set. A portable blind may also be used to accommodate the caller and anyone who is not comfortable lying in a blind.

Feel free to bring your own calls and use them… the more proficient callers the better! Your dogs are also more than welcome to join the hunt.
