About MVP Outfitters

Welcome to Canadian Mountain View Paradise Outfitters or MVP. We have been in the Guiding business for over twenty years and have a proficient hunting operation with an abundance of trophy animals.

We hunt Stone Sheep, Bighorn Sheep, Free Ranging Bison, Canadian Moose, Elk, Mountain Caribou, Shiras Moose, Grizzly Bear, Black Bear, Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer, Mountain Goat, Cougar, Lynx, Bobcat and Wolf. You can hunt fourteen big game species during the prime seasons with your choice of rifle, bow or muzzleloader.

We purchased our area in 2001 and since then have leased another 2000 sq. miles of the most scenic terrain that the North has to offer, this area is known for the famous Pink Mountain and the beautiful Sikanni and Halfway river drainages and their tributaries. There is very little resident hunting pressure as it is so remote we use chartered aircraft, horses, and backpacking to hunt this vast wilderness landscape.

Our professional guides and staff who enjoy the Mountains and love to hunt, are some of the most hardworking, experienced friendly people you will meet in the industry, they will do their best to cater to our clients needs and ensure their hunt is a life time experience they never had.

Four to six hunters per hunt, will start out at base camp which is fully self contained and move to the spike camps consisting of backpack lightweight tents or wall tents, these camps will then only be one to two hunters per camp this gives the best possible chance to harvest that trophy animal.

We have a highly animal populated area, but your success on the backpack hunts will depend on your physical fitness, mental attitude and how hard you work, the Moose hunts will be less strenuous but will require some walking. We will ensure the hunt we "sell" will be the right hunt to fit your expectations.

We are proud members of the Safari Club International, Guide and Outfitters Association of British Columbia, F.N.A.W.S - Foundation of North American Wild Sheep, Southern Guides and Outfitters Association, Northern Guides and Outfitters Association, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, B.C Wildlife Federation, and the Mountain Hunter Magazine.

When you book a hunt with Canadian Mountain View Paradise, we will provide you with a detailed contract, Canada Firearms form, an in-depth equipment list and any further information you may need, we look forward in hearing from you soon.

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed hunting with you, what a great experience it was fulfilling my dream to hunt and harvest a Bison. I have been highly recommending your hunt to all my friends since getting home, some of these friends will no doubt be hunting with you in the next couple of years. This is one of those hunts I would love to do that hunt every year, the country was gorgeous, there was plenty of animals and you run a first class hunt. A bonus was how good the Bison meat is, it is some of the best wild meat I have ever had so I am glad we decided to drive up in order to bring it all home. My Bison officially scored 117 0/8” which places it at #5 in current P&Y records, this was just icing on one of the best hunts I have ever been on. MVP’S Motto of “Arrive as a Client and leave as a Friend” could not be more true.

I had a great adventure in stunningly beautiful country with people who really know what they are doing. It's nice to have outfitters who not only have the requisite outdoor skills but who also have the personalities to make 10 days in the wilderness with them a pleasure. They make it all seem easy through their hard work and positive attitudes.

Just writing to say thank you for the great hunt Joe Thomas and I had with you this fall. Although we ran into a bad stretch of weather you and everyone working with you stayed in a very positive attitude, which is so important on a hunt such as, we were on. Everyone was always in good spirits, laughing, joking, and smiling. Even on the one day we couldn’t get out of camp we had a lot of laughs.

I have to say your equipment, horses, food, and service, were all top notch. You all went above and beyond to help us have a successful hunt, and to give us memories that will last a lifetime. I have been on other successful hunts where I really didn’t have fun, however that certainly was not the case on your hunt. I find myself thinking more about sitting in the cook tent laughing with everyone, listening to the wolves howling, and the great people I met more than all of the game that we saw and the great moose we took with the bow. That says volumes about you and your family.

The country that you hunt is rugged, beautiful, and full of game for the person willing to get out and hunt hard. This certainly isn’t a “canned hunt”, but it is certainly a hunt that leaves you with a feeling of great accomplishment. You know you worked for your game and you took it the way it should be, "fair chase".

I hope at some point I have the opportunity to come back and hunt with you and your family again. Please tell Dustin thanks again for being willing to climb the mountains with us and let him know that he is one of the few people I have hunted with that I know could walk me into the ground if he wanted to (which luckily he never did). I tell all my friends about the young man that hunts harder than anyone I have ever hunted with and they just can’t comprehend how hard he actually hunts for his clients. I can only say he made hunting fun for us and he was a pleasure to be with.

Please feel free to use my name as a reference, and it would be my pleasure to talk to anyone about hunting with you and your family.

As a Professional Fisherman and Outdoor TV Host I get the opportunity to fish and hunt with some of the best guides and outfitter on the planet. I can say from my recent experience on an archery Moose hunt in BC with Dustin Roe, he is without a doubt one of the hardest working and talented outdoorsman I have ever spent time with. He impressed me not only with his hard work and hunting savvy, but also with his outstanding insight and abilities with both still and video equipment!

I have to say that it was the best outdoor experience that I have ever had!!!! I hope all of your other hunters did well also. Please say hi to Shane, Moni, and Kent for me.

I would like to take a minute and thank you for one of the best experiences of my life. With the mass commercialization of the hunting industry I think there are a lot of outfitters that miss the reason why we hunt. MVP does not have this problem since you are all true hunters yourself. You give all of your client’s personal attention and do not try and set any records for the amount of hunters that can be booked in one year. You not only have an area with a tremendous amount of top quality game and great guides, but you also make your clients feel like they are part of the family. I will definitely hunt again with Dustin soon, I have already recommend MVP to all of my friends. Please feel free to add my name and number to your reference list.

It was my extreme good fortune to meet Katie, Dean and Dustin Roe at the 2009 Pope & Young Convention. After visiting with them and others that had hunted with them and spoke very highly of their operation, I booked a bison hunt which I made in October 2009. The time spent with MVP at their lodge near Pink Mountain, BC exceeded my expectations. The guides, accommodations and food were all great. I had a very memorable hunt and was successful taking a nice P&Y bison. That said; the best thing I came out of the deal with was new friends. MVP is a family run outfit and I can’t say enough about their attention to detail, positive attitude, work ethic and their overall desire to take care of their clients. To them, what they do is not a business as much as it is a passion. I look very much forward to a continued relationship with the Roe’s and hopefully hunting with them in the near future.

I wanted to thank you for the great life experience Moose hunting. If anyone is thinking of a Moose bowhunt, I would suggest MVP Outfitters. My guide, Rorie, being a bowhunter, knows what it takes to bowhunt an animal. His flexibility, positive attitude, and knowledge of bowhunting was great. This Moose hunt, was one of the best hunts my husband and I have ever been on. I wanted to also thank the cook, wrangler and all the other guides for making this a great time!

I moose hunted with this outfit in Sept of 2011. This was by far the worst joke of an outfit I have ever seen. I spent most days days chasing this guys horses around. I bet you I walked 20 miles looking for this guys horses. He had the balls to say "its all part of the adventure". Most days he wasted the mornings drinking coffee and we didnt start hunting until 10 am and some days after we found the horses 3-4 pm. One day was windy, so instead of hunting, I watched him burn garbage instead. No experienced guides were in camp. This hunt cost me over $10,000 and was a complete joke
