African Hunting and Overseas Exotics: You can enjoy all of what the hunting world has to offer right now at the Morani River Ranch! Offered year round, hunters have the opportunity to pursue over 60 species of exotic and African game. We also boast a wide range of Super Exotics such as Bongo, Pure DNA tested Transcaspian Urial, Markhor, and Ibex, AND the only herds of Eastern Caucasian Tur and Chinese Blue Sheep in private hands in the world. Representing countries around the globe, those up to the challenge, can pursue game species typically accessible only in their native lands. In fact, we use several methods of intense management to ensure the quality of trophy game, including hunting, to keep a healthy balance between the number of animals and the habitat in which they live. Our 3,000 acre ranch is very similar to many of the species' home environments, especially those from Africa.

Trophy Whitetails: Morani River Ranch offers the ultimate in Texas Trophy whitetail hunting, with many opportunities for hunters to harvest whitetails grossing from 170 to WELL over 200 inches B&C. Through our intensive management program we are able to produce mature whitetails that sport massive racks that we all dream about! By focusing on age, nutrition and genetics, it is not uncommon for hunters to encounter a trophy whitetail that is too young to shoot! You are not alone though. Our expert guides have years of experience judging the age and score of whitetails on the hoof, which gives them the ability to put you on the trophy buck of a lifetime.

Custom Hunts: Hunt how you want. Rest assured that when that opportune time presents itself, you will be well outfitted as the majority of our whitetail hunting is done from elevated deer stands and ground blinds. If you prefer a more challenging "spot and stalk" style, we are more than happy to assist you. Speaking of challenges, the terrain at the Morani River Ranch features rugged hills and canyons of the Texas Hill Country. The steep and rocky slopes demand a well-conditioned hunter with proper equipment, who at times may need to make long shots across canyons or through brushy terrain. Our hunts are as challenging as you, the hunter, choose to make them.

Traditional Texas- Worldly Experience: The 6,000 square-foot Morani River Ranch lodge is a state-of-the-art facility, offering comfort embraced with Texas Hill Country style. It includes a large trophy room with a massive multistory stone fireplace, full service bar, a home theater including surround sound, a drop-down projection screen and recliner seating. The dining room is accompanied by its own stone fireplace, full surround-sound system, wine cellar, and window walls that open up onto a large, covered veranda that boasts one of the best views in the Texas Hill Country. Each morning and evening, take in the view of the large lake right off of the veranda and see native whitetail deer, turkey, dove, and bobcats mixed with over 60 exotic species from around the world, including 10 species of sheep, Nubian and Siberian Ibex, Markhor, Bongo, Oryx, Sable, Kudu, and many more. Outfitted with a modern kitchen, our staff is equipped to prepare meals designed to meet your specific dining preferences.
