Pine Ridge Lodge, a premium Big Game Outfitter, established in 1988 offers “Fair Chase” guided hunting to sportsmen and sportswomen from the world over .Our hunting lodges are located along the remote wilderness route traveled by John G. Millais on his Caribou Hunting adventures to Newfoundland in 1904. In fact, our Deer Pond lodge, one of three, is located, according to his sketches, on the exact spot where he placed his hunting camp while hunting at Millais Lake, now called Deer Pond. Millais chose this area because of its longstanding reputation for quality Woodland Caribou trophies available there. Nothing has changed in that regard since. Check out his book “Newfoundland and Its Untrodden Ways” and you can relive his adventure, at least the hunting component, not the tiresome access by cargo canoe nor the limited table fare by booking your next and following hunts with us. We provide access by float plane or helicopter, and in addition to the quality hunting for Moose, Woodland Caribou, and Black Bear we provide top quality table fare prepared fresh daily on site by our professional cooks.

In addition to Moose, Woodland caribou, and Black Bear hunting opportunities in remote wilderness areas, where pursuit of game is done primarily by boat and on foot, we provide hunting opportunities for Moose and Black Bear in other areas where access is by ATV and/or pickup. These ground access hunts are suitable for hunters who may be unduly challenged by hunting the more remote areas. Notwithstanding, Moose and Black Bear in the ground access areas are abundant and success rates are very comparable.

Hunting packages available at Pine Ridge Lodge, in addition to the “front end” elements, also encompass the many other components from kill site to freezer and trophy room. We handle the arrangements with local butchers, taxidermists and shipping companies, and we handle the needed paper work thus relieving you of the burden.
