With over 2,000 acres of our own and three state parks nearby, you'll find there's plenty of room to roam.

STARTING IN SEPTEMBER, you will enjoy the outdoors as you have never done before, with beautiful countryside and the best of waterfowl and upland hunting without the pressure of other hunters at South Dakota’s #1 Waterfowl Camp. Waterfowl hunting in the prairie pothole region of South Dakota is outstanding. The numbers of ducks and geese have increased annually. Every year more than 2,000 ducks are harvested and there are never more than five hunters per hunt. Large numbers of ducks and geese are taken every day. Remember, we can guarantee you a waterfowl tag; either a South Dakota non-resident license or a Tribal waterfowl tag. The upland birds are also numerous. We see more pheasants and sharptail grouse every year and the atmosphere at the ranch is the best. You can design your own hunt: waterfowl in the morning and pheasants or grouse in the afternoon. September also offers great fishing with small mouth bass and walleye in abundance. You may also decide to take the morning off and lounge on the deck of your own cabin with a good book and your dog alongside. This is your trip and it can be just the way you want it.

THE RANCH HAS ITS OWN HERD OF BUFFALO which roam across 2,000 acres and numbers about 500 head. During the end of December and the first part of January we allow the harvest of two to five trophy-quality bulls. These bulls are between the ages of five and 10 years and average approximately 2,000 pounds each. With each hunt, you will receive the head for mounting, the hide primed for mounting and tanning. Each year we process our two-year old bulls for consumption at the ranch and for sale to the public. Prairie Sky Guest & Game Ranch is located in northeastern South Dakota, near Sisseton. This area is known as the Glacial Lakes Region, and when you visit, you'll see we have many lakes and wetlands. Wildlife is everywhere. Drive from Minneapolis-St. Paul or Sioux City, Iowa, in less than four hours. Closest commercial airports are Fargo, ND, and Watertown, SD.
