Consequently fishing is accessible only to guests of Rocky River Lodge and residents of Port Graham, Alaska, who live some 2 hours away. It doesn't get any better than having your own private river! With the incredible overcrowding roadside waters experience throughout the summer, this salmon fishing opportunity is priceless.. From the Gulf of Alaska the annual spawn of Chum (Dog), Humpback (Pink) and Coho (Silver Salmon) Salmon and Dolly Varden (Char) into Rocky and Windy Rivers begin in July and continue well into and past September. With the salmon spawns overlapping, you can often enjoy catching two species or more during your trip throughout the season. With every high tide fresh salmon will enter the rivers to spawn and the salmon already there will continue up river which will provide you countless opportunities and locations to catch salmon and dollies all day long.
