Sportsmans Acres Pheasant Hunts is located 70 miles Southwest of Sioux Falls, South Dakota in the heart of Pheasant Hunting territory. With over 12,000 acres of prime South Dakota Pheasant Hunting habitat carefully managed to give you and your party a pheasant hunting experience of a lifetime. We are located directly on the James River which runs into the Missouri River about 25 miles from pheasant hunting property.

The areas we pheasant hunt are hand picked for maximum pheasant numbers. We are totally committed to offering first class WILD South Dakota Pheasant Hunting, with fantastic pheasant numbers, all at the best rates possible.

We work hard at developing our pheasant habitat and food plots, making the best possible nesting areas. Our success starts with managing the land and the wildlife. The lands consist of hundreds of acres of prime CRP, with Milo, Millet and Corn strips in food plots throughout. We also offer pheasant hunting in a variety of different covers, including corn strips, short and tall sorghum fields, long thick tree belts, cattail sloughs and dry run creek beds in the fields themselves. Low areas of over grown switch grasses, and foxtail grasses make for wonderful roosting areas.

South Dakota Whitetail Deer Hunting at its finest! World Class Whitetail Deer Hunts in South Dakota! Join us for a South Dakota Pheasant/Whitetail Deer Combo Hunt! We will put together a fabulous combo South Dakota hunting package together for you that you can't refuse! If you are looking for a South Dakota Whitetail Deer hunt that has great trophy potential, you've found your hunt.

The deer here have not been hunted with rifle for 3 years. We run a 5 mile stretch of the James River Bottom using strategically-placed tree stands and ground blinds for your convenience. We thoroughly scout the area all summer and early fall using spotting scopes and trail cams. There are Giant South Dakota Whitetail's here.

We've got pictures of South Dakota Whitetail Bucks from our trail cams that are absolutely Boone and Crocket plus. This area has rolling hills and wooded draws that make ideal traffic corridors for some BIG whitetail bucks. It offers ideal food plots to support large deer, including corn, alfalfa, prairie grass and soybeans. The typical buck here will score a 145-155 BC on up and weigh between 225-300+ lbs.

We take only a limited number of hunters to ensure trophy potential for each and every one of our clients. Check out the pictures of the mounts in the lodge. The pictures speak for themselves! With the "bonus birds" of grouse, Hungarian partridge, and ring neck pheasant hunting and waterfowl. We can also set you up with a combo hunt in any combination of Pheasant, Waterfowl, Whitetail Deer, Turkeys(Marriam & Eastern) Varmints or Predators in the Fall.

In the spring we have archery Spring Snow Goose Hunting and Archery Turkey Hunting with two species of Turkeys. We have both the Merriam Turkeys and the Eastern Turkeys. There aren't many places where you have a shot at two different species of Turkeys in the same hunt. Make sure to book your Whitetail Deer Hunts and Turkey Hunts as early as possible. We only take a very limited number of hunters for those hunts.

We do everything in our power to make sure all your needs and wants are satisfied. We don't just consider you customers, but friends. We provide a small town atmosphere that South Dakota is famous for with all the benefits of home.
