Tangle Ridge Outfitters & Guides are committed to providing our guests with an experience they won’t soon forget. We believe that a successful hunt cannot be measured solely by the harvested trophy, but more so by the total experience.

Our business is family owned and operated mainly in the Bighorn National Forest under a Special Use Permit. We also operate on private land leases. We very carefully select our ranches for both quantity and quality of game. Our hunts are 100% fair chase, with no game fences or guaranteed kill situations. We offer rifle and archery hunts for Elk, Mule Deer, Antelope, Moose, Bear, Cougar, and a variety of combination hunts, which means we are sure to have a hunting opportunity to suit you. Accommodations vary on different hunts from deluxe wall tent camps, cabins or bunkhouses, to farm house and in some cases modern motel facilities. Please ask for details on specific hunts.

Tangle Ridge Outfitters & Guides was founded by hunters, for hunters. We believe that anything worth doing is worth doing well. Our guides are licensed and knowledgeable and will accompany you 100% on your hunt to ensure the best possible chance at harvesting an animal. They are skilled and experienced individuals that know their business. They will pack, dress, skin, and cape your trophy. They share our views and are committed to doing everything possible to make your hunt a success, and an experience you will want to enjoy again and again.

Unlike “Big Time” outfitters we like to keep a lower profile and get to know our clients. Your stories become our stories and vice versa. The time spent in camp around the campfire or the dinner table, getting to know each other, is undeniably one of the best aspects of the hunt. Over the years many of our clients have become “regulars” and are now more like friends or family than clients.
