Outdoorsman Hunting Outfitters
About this page
The outfitters featured on our pages are some of the top in the industry. We have tried to remove some of the frustration and uncertainty by creating a format where outfitters can enter their information then update their pictures and videos so that you can visualize your pending experience, in addition, we have created an open forum where hunters who have spent time with your prospective outfitters can leave comments and leave contact information.

Wildlife, which is unique to the Canadian Arctic, is abundant. The migration of the Bathurst caribou herd is one of the last remaining, true spectacles of nature and can be witnessed annually at Mackay Lake. Join us for the fishing trip of a lifetime in the barrenlands of Northern Canada's arctic. Experience some of the world's finest fishing on Mackay Lake for giant lake trout, northern pike and arctic grayling. While you're enjoying the midnight sun, take time to observe the caribou migration and northern wildlife. We offer trips at both our Mackay Lake Lodge and Warburton Bay locations. Add 6% GST to the prices.
Mackay Lake Lodge combines all the comforts of home with a rustic character that lends itself to this magic land. Mackay Lake Lodge offers real comfort in this remote wilderness setting with private cabin accommodation, electricity and indoor plumbing, a licensed lounge, and a restaurant style kitchen. Freezers, laundry service, modern boats & motors, and an airstrip all combine to make MacKay Lake Lodge the premier hunting and fishing location in the Northwest Territories.
Warburton offers weeklong all-inclusive adventures, including charter float plane flight from Yellowknife. These trips are Friday to Friday.

Hunt Central Canadian Barren Ground Caribou in what has been called "The Best Place on Earth to Hunt Caribou". Highly successful Arctic Wolf hunts in the barren lands, up the longest ice road in the world or on Great Slave Lake, the 6th largest lake in the world, or hunt the wolf packs that follow the Bathurst caribou herds into the trees where they winter. Two wolf tags are available per sport hunter and wolverine and fox are not in season at this time of year for non-resident hunters.
Spot and stalk hunts for "big and bold" black bears take place west of Great Slave Lake about 3 hours south of Yellowknife by road. Stay at a trapper's cabin and hunt after midnight as the days are long in the spring up here.
Our facilities are by far the best in the Northwest Territories and in addition to MacKay Lake Lodge, we have several tent camps which can be used for overnight camping out, depending on the location of the game. The 100 mile-long lake is crystal clear and cold and is fed by a number of pristine rivers. This makes ideal habitat for giant Lake Trout and Arctic Grayling. Whether you come to capture giant Lake Trout, fly fish for Arctic Grayling, or to photograph the Arctic Tundra, our professional management and staff will help make your trip safe and enjoyable.
