Kwalata Wilderness was established in 1988 by Heinz Heuser and it has been passed down to his son, Reinhard Heuser. Kwalata Wilderness comprises of 32,120 acres of idyllic hunting terrain, set in the heart of the Waterberg mountains in South Africa’s Limpopo Province. Boasting 18 species of plains game and four of the big 5, (all on one property) Kwalata is any plains game or dangerous game hunters dream holiday destination.

The savannah bushveld in and around Kwalata forms part of the UNESCO approved Waterberg Biosphere Nature Reserve, which has been declared an indigenous forest. With a huge variety of natural fauna and flora, rivers, dams and natural streams, Kwalata is the perfect environment for hunting groups and their families to enjoy a truly South African safari experience. This includes the well known Matetsi Safari area, established in 1973, Matetsi is home to an abundance of indigenous plains and dangerous game this includes Sable, Elephant, Lion Leopard and large herds of Cape Buffalo. Encountering herds of 300 - 400 Cape Buffalo is not uncommon.

Through more than 22 years of co-operation with concession holders we have been able to establish a fixed quota on this area. Sengwe river mouth which is located 2 hours north east from Victoria falls on Lake Kariba, is another of our hunting areas, here we offer our clients the opportunity to hunt Hippo and Crocodile in an exceptional area with unsurpassed trophy quality.

Kariba is also well known for good tiger fishing and such an experience can be easily incorporated into your safari. Our Africa bow hunting safaris allow for you to experience ten to fourteen thrilling days of hunting. Our safaris have been providing our clients a lifetime full of memories and experiences they will never forget. Bushmen only hunts during the dark of the moon. We have small camps of 5 to 8 hunters and only 35 to 50 hunters a year. Over the years these African bow hunts have provided our clients with record book animals.
