Our Alaska fishing is conducted from Kupreanof Island in a very remote area. Regardless of the remoteness we are still easily accessible through daily flights from Seattle and Anchorage including a ferry service.

Our Alaska fishing lodges include a main lodge where all our meals are served and a place to relax and socialize. There are additional cabins that can accommodate up to six guests comfortably with full bath and shower.

Our Alaska fishing boats are 18ft Lunds with side steering console 40 horsepower motor with a 6 horsepower tiller trolling motor. When you reserve one of our Alaska fishing trips you will have complete unlimited access to these boats. You can fish whenever you would like. You will also be equip with most of your needed equipment minus your bait. Our professional Alaska fishing guides at the Alaska Kodiak Sportsman's Lodge will be the first people you will meet upon you arrival in Old Harbor.

If you are planning that dream Alaska fishing trip than plan on coming from May 1st through July 15th for the peak King Salmon run. Although Alaska fishing is never without action because these monster are here year around. In 2007 we had a remarkable season that sported many of our clients with up to 82 pound fish. The Silvers also run early July so there is incredible Alaska fishing action when the seasons overlap.

We are five star Coast Guard rated, safety should be an important factor when searching for your dream Alaska fishing venture. We also have several fishing vessels available for those who want to fly fish, although we have to recommend you bring your own fly fishing gear because we have no flies available at our lodge. We offer a personal Alaska fishing tour here at Alaska Kodiak Sportsman’s Lodge with accommodations for only 16 guests. We have four single rooms available for your extra personal experience with a very comfortable queen size bed, or we have six doubles equip with six double beds and a roll away for any of your additional guests. Each of our rooms feature private baths and daily maid service. We have outstanding meal accommodations and a delicious Alaskan fare. About Kodiak Sportsman's Lodge

The Alaska fishing guides of the Alaska Kodiak Sportsman’s Lodge will greet you at the Old Harbor Airport upon your arrival. We will transport you to the Alaska fishing lodges, check you in, purchase your Alaska fishing licenses, listen to a quick orientation and then enjoy a wonderful dinner. For your convenience, the Alaska fishing lodges provides a shuttle service to and from the boat harbor although you may choose to walk, as the boat harbor is just a short distance from the lodge.

Our Alaska fishing charters troll for 30 to 90-pound Alaska king salmon with down riggers and light tackle. The peak trophy Alaska King Season runs from May 1st thorough July 15th, but they're here all year long- Our 2007 anglers landed kings weighing 82, 80, 75, 74, 71 and 70, with over thirty other kings over 60 pounds. In 2008 the largest kings were 77, 75 and 73 pounds. Ten to 22 pound Silvers arrive in early July and are fished in much the same way we fish for kings.

At Alaska Kodiak Sportsman's Lodge we utilize four custom-built aluminum catamarans fishing boats 25' and 28' long by 10' wide as our Alaska fishing charters. Each Alaska fishing charters is five star Coast Guard rated, with full walk around cabins, fitted with twin engines, full marine heads, complete enclosed seating, complete electronics, top of -the line Loomis and Lamiglas graphite fishing rods, Shimano fishing reels and all fishing lures and fishing bait. We have a few spinning outfits for the river fishing fishermen, as well as a few fly fishing outfits available for use, but do not provide flies and generally recommend that you bring your own fly fishing gear. Our Alaska fishing charters fish 4 people per fishing boat, with four individual downriggers and at least 100 square feet of fishing cockpit. We also have new fishing jet boats for fishing our streams. Anglers will fish at least 8 hours per day, weather permitting and all of our captains are coast guard licensed. Gortex rainwear up to size 3X and 18" knee boots up to size 14 are also provided at the Alaska fishing lodges.

Alaska Kodiak Sportsman’s Lodge accommodates 16 guests. There are six double rooms with double beds and four single rooms with queen beds. A roll roll away bed can be added to your room for an additional guest if needed. Each room has a private bath and daily maid service is provided. We also have an upstairs lounge with satellite television and wireless Internet.
