Our Alaskan moose hunts take place in Wood-Tikchick State Park which follows the Nushagak River so hunting is by water and thick timber.

We offer an eleven day Alaskan moose hunt starting Sept 5th thru the 15th. The accommodations provided for your guided Alaskan moose hunt will be primarily out of tent camps. A lot of the Alaskan moose hunt is done out of boat. We hunt the Nushagak River in the Wood-Tikchik state park.

You can either book yourself a guided Alaskan moose hunt or choose to go unguided. Our main strategy during the Alaskan moose hunt is spot and stalk as well as a lot of calling. This time of year just happens to be peek rut season. On average we harvest 60” trophies that usually have fantastic palms. We are extremely fortunate to have such a thriving moose population not to mention the huge Bull potential.

A quick glance at the record books shows that the top mountain caribou come from here. Moose are abundant and during the rut 100% success is the rule. It is also a somewhat "undiscovered" mountain goat area. Grizzly, sheep, wolf, black bear and wolverine round out the bag.

The Alaska-Yukon moose which we hunt are the largest of all moose. Spreads up to 70 inches are possible however most moose taken are in the 54 - 58 inch, 190 plus B & C point range.

Fantastic is about the best word to describe our moose. 100% success most years, 92% success since 1986. Fully 80% of our moose have 54 to 58 inch spreads and score between 180 and 200 points B&C with many in the 210 – 220 point range or better. Best hunted during the rut from September 10th to October 10th by boat or if a caribou, grizzly combo is wanted, by horse. Can also hunt post rut moose and caribou by snowmobile in late October.
