Enjoy do-it-yourself non-guided Colorado hunting on private land for both Elk & Mule Deer. Choose from 15 Colorado hunting ranches for Colorado Elk Hunting and Colorado Mule Deer Hunting. Our Colorado Hunting leases border White River, Routt and San Isbal National Forest. Completely furnished hunting cabins and hunting lodges on most leases. Maximum of 4-8 Mule Deer hunters and Elk hunters per hunting lease, only one group per hunting lease. Prices range from $2000 - $2200 per hunter.

Colorado Private Ranches and the landowners have designated a low number of Colorado Mule Deer Hunters and Colorado Elk hunters (4-8) per season on each hunting lease to guarantee a non-crowded, highly productive Colorado Elk Hunting and Colorado Mule Deer hunting environment. Our Colorado hunting leases offer a wide selection of accommodations. We have hunting leases with cabins, camping availability or if you wish a motel stay in the nearest town. The use of ATV's is permitted and encouraged on all our Colorado Mule Deer hunting and Colorado Elk hunting leases.

Self-Guided Hunts offers the experienced hunter an opportunity to access private land without the added costs associated with an elk hunting outfitter or guide service. Operating out of two ranches in eastern and central Montana, the Ingomar Ranch is home to our antelope and prairie dog hunts while the Martinsdale Ranch in central Montana is home to whitetail and DYI elk hunts. The Martinsdale Ranch, located in Central Montana, is situated in some of Montana's most premier whitetail and elk country. Located in the foothills of the Crazy Mountains, it is perfectly situated to access a variety of whitetail and elk habitat.

Elk hunting is very special on the Martinsdale Ranch with a variety of different terrain areas: from the high country that we call Pole Camp, to the very rough, rocky area that we call Wiglow, to the hilly area called The Butte. There are many places with harder access to call or rattle for the bulls in archery season, and other places easier access to hunt during rifle season. The ranch is encompassed by forest and mountain areas that the elk travel between regularly.

The weather plays a big part in the elk's location and their travel patterns. Late in the season, heavy snow in the mountains will bring the elk down into river country, while the rest of the season can be some of the most challenging hunting you will find. You will have an excellent chance to see 6 point or larger bulls.
