About Canadian Mountain Outfitters

Welcome to Canadian Mountain Outfitters. We are a small, personalized Trophy Grizzly Bear Hunting operation in some of the most scenic, remote and wild country in Northern Canada. We offer a true Wilderness hunting experience for Stone Sheep, Mountain Goat, Moose, Grizzly Bear, Black Bear, and Wolf. The landscape is quite rugged and mountainous with numerous streams, rivers, and lakes.

The opportunity to take a trophy Grizzly Bear is high as we receive little grizzly bear hunting pressure and take a few hunters each year. We do our best to cater to our clients' needs, but you need to arrive in good physical condition as some of the guided grizzly bear hunts can be quite demanding. Most of our guided grizzly bear hunts are 1x1, with 2x1 guided grizzly bear hunts being available. To best hunt the area we use floatplanes, horses, boats, foot and backpack hunting. We take rifle, bow, and muzzleloader hunters.

Our base camps are quite comfortable and are equipped with cookhouses, cabins, showers and outhouses. Spike camps utilize lightweight wall or backpack type tents. All equipment is new or in excellent shape. Our grizzly bear hunting guides are some of the most enthusiastic, experienced and hardworking in the industry. We hope you consider Canadian Mountain Outfitters for your next guided grizzly bear hunts.

Grizzly Bears are hunted in September and are very plentiful. The largest bear taken in recent years was 8' 4" and qualified for the record book. Our area is considered to be one of the best in Northern British Columbia for trophy grizzly bear. Most hunters will see several grizzly bears.

About Alaska Trophy Hunting

We are pleased to be able to offer some of the most outstanding guided Grizzly Bear hunts that are available in Alaska today. Read our guided Grizzly Bear hunts descriptions below and visit our website for additional information on our guided Grizzly Bear Hunts.

Enjoy the Ultimate Grizzly Bear Hunting Experience as we stalk the Giant Grizzly Bear in his natural environment in the Alaska Interior. Do you want to add an Interior Grizzly Bear to your trophy collection? Come and enjoy great grizzly bear hunting in the fall when the Grizzlies migrate out of the timber and begin to concentrate on the hillsides to feed on the rich berry crops. Our unit presently allows 2 Grizzly Bear per season which don’t count against the 1 grizzly bear every four years regulation. We’ll glass the hillsides looking for a big boar that will exceed 8 foot square. It’s a wonderful time of the year with Alaska’s brilliant fall colors and the opportunity to look over a bunch of Grizzly Bear.

Grizzly Bear Hunting is done in several ways in the Spring. During the month of April, Grizzlies emerge from their winter hibernation. Once they leave the dens they are generally taken off of a Moose carcass that was winter killed or freshly hunted by the Bear. Travel during this time of year is by super cub and by snow machine. Walking is done with the use of snow shoes.

Several methods are used on guided grizzly bear hunts in the Fall. When the season opens, on August 10th, the Grizzlies are fishing on the rivers. This is a good time to use a boat to drift past good fishing holes and to make stands at the entrances of streams that hold spawning Salmon. In mid August the Bears begin to migrate up off of the Salmon streams onto the mountain sides in search of Blue Berries and Parka Squirrels. When a good trophy is spotted the chase begins and all of our efforts are used to get into position to make the final stalk. When the hunter has taken a Moose or Caribou trophy and all of the edible meat salvaged, a good method of hunting is to set up a blind and wait for a Grizzly to begin feeding on the remains of the kill. It's a great time to be in the wilderness in Alaska.

We believe in providing personalized service to our grizzly bear hunting clients that they deserve and should expect. Our equipment is modern and kept in excellent condition. We serve great food and strive to make your hunt enjoyable. We’d be honored to provide information to you about any guided grizzly bear hunts that we offer or have you visit our website at www.alaskatrophyhunting.com . It would also be a privilege to discuss grizzly bear hunting with you. It’s what we enjoy!

About Trophy West Guide Outfitters

Vancouver Island, British Columbia is recognized by many hunters from throughout North America, Europe, Canada, and Mexico as a world class hunting destination for some of the finest big game and trophy hunting opportunities in North America.

Trophy West Hunting Guides & Outfitters has exclusive guiding rights to one of the largest guide territories on Vancouver Island as well asan adjoining area, Knight Inlet, on mainland British Columbia, Canada. This geographically diverse region offers big game trophy hunting opportunities unique to the west coast of BC including the famous Knight Inlet and Klinaklini River areas and a large portion of central and north eastern Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

With many salmon streams and rivers in our area including the Klinaklini, Franklin, Simms, and Glendale, our coastal grizzly bears are well nourished and grow to be some of the largest in the world. The famous Knight Inlet is home to some of the highest concentrations of grizzly bears found on the British Columbia coast. It is in the watersheds that feed Knight Inlet that we conduct our fall hunts. Knight Inlet has produced many of the record book entries for Boone & Crockett.

Our fall hunts begin October 1st of each year. Openings are very limited and strictly regulated by the Fish and Wildlife Department so we recommend that you plan your hunt well in advance.

Each hunt runs for 10 days and depending upon which watershed being hunted, accommodations can consist of wall tents, the MV Island Spirit, or the Klinaklini cabin in the head of Knight Inlet. Healthy runs of 5 different species of salmon return to the various streams and rivers of Knight Inlet each fall, which in turn bring the big bears searching for food in their preparation for their long winter sleep. It is on these streams and creeks that we set up using natural ground blinds and in some cases tree stands overlooking large holding pools of spawning salmon.

This is an up close and personal hunt with a long shot considered to be 40-60 yards. The use of tree stands and natural ground blinds also provide the bow hunter with undetected, close range shot opportunities. Our fall archery hunts for Grizzly over the past 14 years have a success rate near 100%.
