About Call of the Wild Outfitters

We had fabulous Kansas Waterfowl hunting in 2009. We had large numbers of waterfowl and are now booking for 2010 Season - estimated geese population is 950,000 now - February 2010.

Clients were impressed with the thousands and thousands of geese that winter here in Kansas. We are located in the central flyway, plus having Cheyenne Bottoms and Quivira Wild Life areas, helps draw the birds. With the wheat and corn fields for the geese to feed on, it gives my clients exceptional opportunity to harvest their limit of birds.

Kansas Duck hunting was slower this year. Almost all the water holes were dry. Normally we have sufficient rain fall in early fall to fill up the water holes, especially in Milo fields. mallards flock in under these conditions by the thousands which give a sportsman a good chance to harvest his limit.

About Doyle Outfitters

Doyle Outfitters provides goose hunting throughout the west central portion of Kansas. We hunt around the Cheyenne Bottoms and Quivira National Wildlife Refuge areas where it holds at times upwards of 1 million geese. We give you the opportunity to not only hunt canadas, but also white-fronts and snows throughout the fall season. With this area being in the heart of the Central Flyway, it gives hunters an opportunity to pursue many different varieties of ducks and geese. Kansas is one of the very few states that you can shoot all species of geese throughout the entire fall season. Come to Kansas and book a hunt with us today!

At Doyle Outfitter's we try to give you as a hunter the greatest possibility to have a great time in the outdoors. We give the hunter a chance to kill geese whether advanced or just beginning. Our guides do their best to get geese in at ten feet every time so even a non experienced shooter can hit them. We accept any age to come and enjoy the outdoors. If you just want to come to see the thousands of geese working the decoy spread or you enjoy bagging out on geese day after day we have the opportunity for you to have a great time! Call to book a hunt for the 2009-2010 season!

The Kansas Goose Hunts: We will meet the evening before at the place you will be staying to give you a quick overview of the morning hunt and to meet the guides. Starting out about 4:00 A.M. the guides will pick you up from the local hotel. We will then drive to the field where we hunt, which should take no longer than one hour. If not muddy we will drive in the field and put up decoys and set up blinds for the morning hunt. This process takes about an hour 1/2 if everyone helps. It is much appreciated if everyone helps with the decoys to provide plenty of time to hide blinds and get ready to start shooting. Generally speaking early season the flights will be right at shooting hours. Later on in the season sometimes flights start coming an hour after shooting hours or even longer. The geese fly at times over 30 miles from their roost to eat in a feed field. We should be ready and loaded by shooting hours ready to kill some geese.
