Our lakes provide perfect Trout habitat with rocky outcroppings, deep plunging cliffs and sandy bays. Lake Trout up to 40 lbs have been caught and released by our guests on our exclusive fishing lakes.
Camp Grayling is one of the longest running fishing lodges in Northern Canada and has provided 57 years of unforgettable fishing adventures. As such, we are recognized as a world class fishing lodge for trophy Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Walleye and Arctic Grayling. Early on Camp Grayling lead the way in implementing a catch and release policy for all of our waters. Our fishing policy along with our small guest capacity (limit 24 guests) and modest fishing pressure has provided trophy fishing throughout our history and has guaranteed it for generations to come.
Location - Camp Grayling is located on Black Lake approximately 50 miles south of the Northwest Territories border. Our lodge is on the shore of a private bay just a short distance from the outflowing Fond du Lac River. The sound of the rapids can be heard throughout the camp. We have exclusive fishing rights to all of our waters including Black Lake (50 miles long) and our 9 available fly-out lakes and river locations. We also have an Outpost Camp at Riou Lake for the adventurous do-it-yourself fisherman and it is only available to Camp Grayling guests.
Fishing Gear – We operate 18 foot fully equipped Alumarine boats with casting deck, 50 hp Honda 4 stroke motors and pedestal boat seats with high backs. Our professional Dene guides specialize in both traditional and fly-fishing. We have a tackle shop in the lodge with available rod & tackle rental.
Our customized fishing packages range from a deluxe full service stay at the lodge to do-it-yourself fishing at our numerous fly-out lakes. Daily scheduled air service from Saskatoon to Stony Rapids means we have no preset trip dates. If we have availability, you can determine your dates and the length of your stay. 2 Day Trips & Up. Corporate and family groups of all ages are welcome. We are a family owned & operated fishing camp. We are also unique in that we live year round at Camp Grayling. It is an honor and a pleasure to be able to share our passion for the north with our guests.

About Red Indian Lodge
Many guests ask "How is fishing different in Canada than fishing elsewhere?" and "What special tackle should we bring?" The answer to Red Indian Lodge fishing is simple. The techniques you use on Lake of the Woods should be no different than those used when fishing your local haunts. Quickly learning the fishing patterns will be key to your Canadian fishing experience. If you have selected a guided fishing package, ask your guide what bait or tackle to use. Our guides are out there every day. They know what works best! If going non-guided, do not be afraid to ask the staff in our Office. They can tell you what has been selling the most. That too should tell you what the fish are biting on.
When it comes to fishing in Canada, we recommend bringing two rods and reels. One should be equipped with lighter line, (6 ~ 8 lb. test), for crappie fishing, perch fishing, and walleye fishing. Your second rod and reel should be equipped with heavier line, (10 ~ 12 lb. test), for muskie fishing, northern pike fishing, lake trout fishing, and bass fishing.
njoy Canada's world class lake trout fishing trips at Red Indian Lodge Resort. Our family owned resort boasts superior accommodations, guided lake trout fishing trips, American and Housekeeping Plan options available. Relax on the beautiful Lake of the Woods, Sioux Narrows, Ontario, Canada. Select one of our carefully prepared lake trout fishing packages, or mix and match to create your own custom lake trout fishing trips!
