Leave the planning to us. Our professional guides on our sure-footed horses will take you and your gear to one of our spike camps. The camps are nested under the snow covered peaks rising over 10,000 feet. Bring your hunting gear and warm bed roll and we will do the rest.

All fully guided hunts spend their first night at the spacious hunting lodge. The lodge has a stone fireplace and sleeping rooms that hold 8 to 10 people. There is a large ranch style kitchen with down home cookin'!

Our Premium High Country pack-in Mule Deer Hunts are second to none. We have good numers of adult aged bucks measuring 20" to 26" wide and scoring average around 160 B&C points. We take a few bucks every year considerably bigger, measuring 27" to 34" wide and scoring 180 to 210 B&C points, with our best being 241 in the past 10 years. The older these bucks get the tougher they are to harvest. They are a great challenge. If your up to it so are we.

Elk have now become a premiere animal in Nevada. Our herd is growing at an unbelievable rate. Bulls are being harvested in upwards of 350 pts. B&C score, in we have taken bulls scoring as high as 402 inches and have taken many governers tag hunters killing bulls in the 390's. We look forward to more 400+ score bulls in the near future. Our season is during the peak of the rut, September thru November.

The Elk hunt is difficult to draw, but if you are lucky enough to draw it, then you will be in for the hunt of a lifetime. These Nevada bulls have a great gene pool. We have good knowledge of where these bulls call home and the bugling is fantastic. We also have landowner elk tags available for those that cant wait to draw a tag or have recently drawn a tag.

NEVADA NON-RESIDENT GUIDE DRAW: By applying with us in the Non-resident Guided Deer Draw, your odds of drawing a coveted trophy tag and harvesting a trophy-class deer are exponentially better than applying in the regular draw. The 2012 deadline is in March 2012.

Mountain Man Outfitters was officially started in 2008 by me, Master Guide Michael John Jurad. Prior to starting Mountain Man Outfitters, I was a licensed sub-guide for four years.

I am a third generation Nevadan born and raised in Lovelock.

I was brought up in a pro hunting, fishing, trapping family. A respect for the outdoors was instilled in me from an early age. Outfitting is not a job for me but a lifestyle. MMO is a family-run business. Therefore, all guides operate on the same code of ethics. We bring a weatlh of knowledge to the field from a lifetime of outdoor adventures.
