A quality New Mexico hunt is the only option. We offer New Mexico archery hunts, New Mexico muzzleloader hunts, and New Mexico rifle hunts for New Mexico Elk, New Mexico Mule Deer, New Mexico Coues Whitetail, and New Mexico Antelope. All New Mexico hunts are fair chase and take place on public and private land. We hunt only the high quality areas in New Mexico where the hunter has the capability of taking a quality New Mexico animal.

I have been guiding big game hunts in Arizona and New Mexico for over ten years. I am a native Arizonian and have been hunting and fishing in the areas I hunt since I was a child. This intimate knowledge of the areas I hunt reflects on the quality of animals I have taken throughout the years. I employ only the most reputable New Mexico hunting guides in the areas that we conduct New Mexico hunts in. I believe that an outfitter is only as good as his guides are. All my New Mexico hunting guides are licensed in Arizona and New Mexico and have a great track record for killing quality New Mexico animals. Our goal is to put the hunter on quality New Mexico animals and for the hunter to have an experience that he or she will not soon forget. Arizona is the premier state for western big game hunting. Although tags are hard to draw the hunter is surly in for the hunt of a life time. We are now booking for private ranch hunts for elk, deer, and antelope in New Mexico. We also have available unit wide tags for Elk in high quality units. All of these tags private or unit wide are guaranteed hunts. We can book a year in advance for anyone of these tags. Give us call availability is limited.

New Mexico has excellent opportunities at trophy New Mexico Elk, New Mexico Mule Deer, and New Mexico Antelope. Unfortunately, the cost of a quality New Mexico land owner tag is beyond the average hunters’ budget. So let us apply you for these quality hunts in New Mexico, you will be put in a separate drawing pool which increases your odds of drawing one of these quality tags. We can also apply you for Arizona hunts. Unfortunately, Arizona does not have this separate drawing pool but they do have a bonus point system, folks these tags are surely worth the wait. We offer fully guided or guide only New Mexico hunts for all species.

All Trophy Outfitters Inc hunts are conducted under fair chase (no high fence). We do not guarantee a kill, but our shot opportunity is 90 to 100%. Hunts can be spot and stalk or from tree stand or ground blinds. We try to accommodate each of our hunter’s personal needs. Unless otherwise arranged, all hunts are fully guided and lodging and accommodations are included. We will also assist you in obtaining the necessary licenses and tags for the game you will be hunting for.

Our guides are accomplished archery hunters. It doesn't matter if it's bugling Elk, gobbling turkeys or trophy deer; they know what it takes to get your game up close and personal. All guiding is under the direction of Jim Hill an expert outdoorsman who specializes in archery elk hunting, an experienced guide with two turkey calling championships under his belt. Jim knows what the needs of the hunter are and strives to go above and beyond expectations to make your hunt not only a successful one but comfortable and problem free leaving you with only trophies and great memories to take home. We will also help prepare your game for transport home.

We at Chama River Outfitters are dedicated to the idea of offering all of our clients the opportunity of taking a good, Trophy Class animal. We offer Elk Hunting in Chama New Mexico and are very careful to lease only ranches that have a good number of quality animals. I, Bob Ball, guided my first hunter professionally, in November, 1967. Every year is even more fun than the last for Chama Elk Hunting. All of our guides are well seasoned outdoorsmen who enjoy what they do.

We understand that it is impossible for our clients to enjoy our hunts if we don't. All of our hunts are conducted on well managed, private ranches and we have exclusive hunting rights on these properties. We always limit the number of hunters on these lands, and we always enforce a set of rules and regulations to help provide a safe and enjoyable big game hunt for everyone.

Our reasonable fees include great hunting country, a well qualified guide, all meals, lodging, game retrieval and transportation to a meat cutter, expert trophy preparation and all vehicles necessary during your hunt. All hunting properties leased by Chama River Outfitters are privately owned. We lease ranches in the higher elevations for archery and early season rifle hunts and properties at lower elevations for later season migration hunts. We are careful to lease only ranches which offer the potential for quality animals.
