At St. Lawrence Outfitters Inc., we are proud to offer our hunters a nearly endless supply of waterfowl hunting opportunities. Due to our unique location, long season and variety of birds, we are able to offer many different types of waterfowl hunting experiences. Whether hunting one of our fields for mallards and Canada geese, gunning a private timber hole for wood ducks and teal, or hunting the mighty St. Lawrence for late-season goldeneyes, our hunters enjoy a wide variety of world-class waterfowl hunts.
A large part of our hunting takes place on our thousands of acres of leased fields. Each season we make sure we have plenty of excellent leases throughout Eastern Ontario. We maintain a good mix of crops, including: hay, barley, soya beans and corn. During different times of the season the birds tend to feed on different crops as their nutritional needs change. By maintaining a good mix of leases, we ensure our hunters always have harvested fields to hunt in prime locations.
Regardless of the style of field hunt, the hunt is usually fast and furious with large flights of birds and calling to within in 20 yards. Our guides are all extremely accomplished waterfowlers and top callers. Most of our hunters find it an exceptionally rewarding experience hunting with one of our guides—whether it’s because they shot their limit of birds, learned something new about waterfowl hunting or simply enjoyed spending a day in the company of a guide with the acquired knowledge of a world champion calibre caller.
