Kane Lake Outfitter is for those who want to combine trophy fishing with trophy class guided Saskatchewan black bear hunts and/or moose hunting. Kane Lake Outfitters is located 180 miles (280km) north of La Ronge, Saskatchewan, Canada, in the Precambrian Shield along the sheltered north shore of Kane Lake.

Trophy quality black bears ranging from 6 to 7 feet square are fairly common, with over 70% of our black bear hunters taking black bears in this category in the spring season. The black bear and moose are at an all-time high in our area. Large, spring-lean black bears weight in excess of 400 pounds - and 500 pounds in the fall. The largest bear skulls score over 21 inches!

The majority of our guests come for the excellent fishing, guided Saskatchewan black bear hunts and scenic opportunities, many join us for the excellent food, accommodations and the courtesy of our qualified black bear hunting guides. But almost all relate that a deciding factor is that they can drive to our private, virgin fishing grounds. This eliminates a great deal of the expense normally incurred through the use of float planes and removes the necessity of limiting client luggage to under 40 pounds per guest.

The area acquired is located in North West Saskatchewan, in some of the world's best Whitetail Deer habitat. Our hunting area is approximately 75000 acres of forest which backs on to farmland. We take pride in going great lengths to guarantee safe, top quality hunting experiences. We like to ensure that every hunter receives the best service and hospitality that we can possibly provide.

Saskatchewan fall and early winter seasons very from year to year. You might experience a range from mild, near freezing conditions to lots of snow and cold. Temperatures in the morning can range into the minus twenties but at Pro-Staff Outdoors we use stands with heaters which will keep you comfortable in extreme weather conditions.

We use ladder stands, ground blinds, elevated blinds (8-10 feet up), double bow blinds and 1 man pop up tent blinds.

Lakefront chalets all have three bedrooms, with a queen size bed in each room. Each cabin includes fridge, range, microwave, TV, radio, a three piece bath, patio, gas BBQ, gas fireplace and electric heat. In addition the camp also offers a heated maintenance building where hunters and guides can cape their animal and package meat. Meat packaging material will be provided by your guides, however a personal cooler must be provided for transporting meat back home. Take note, coolers can be purchased upon arrival.

A day’s meal will consist of a warm breakfast, a bagged lunch for the days hunt and a full served supper at the camp. The owners of Turtle Lake Lodge will provide home cooked meals which will be served in their home, located right next to the hunter’s accommodations.
