Welcome to our website! Makwa River Outfitters Ltd provides exciting guided trophy hunts for WHITETAIL DEER and BLACK BEAR. We provide these hunts in a relaxing family setting but we throw in a lot of fun!! These guided hunts are QUALITY HUNTS that are challenging but we make it easy for anyone, of all ages, to enjoy.
We have exciting COLOR PHASE BEAR that come in cinnamon, blonde and chocolate. This is, of course, in addition to the basic black bear. But the "basic black bear" can come in some wonderful variations as well ... he might have a star emblazed on his chest, or he may have a blonde nose. The color phase bear also have some dynamic variations too - it is all truly amazing! This is a great bear hunt!
In Saskatchewan, our whitetail deer come big - in antler size as well as body! They are truly an amazing animal and are a charm to watch and study! And..... when that TROPHY WHITETAIL BUCK steps into your sights, it truly takes your breath away! this is a deer hunt that you will remember for years to come!
Female hunters are very much encouraged to come! You will enjoy everything about our camp!
Rest assured that you will LOVE our FULLY MODERN LOG lodge. The lodge sleeps 11 people very comfortably and includes a kitchenette, dining area, 2 bathrooms(with shower),and fiive separate bedrooms. You will have all the conveniences of power and running water. After a long hard day of hunting in remote wilderness, what could be better than "coming home" to a hot home-cooked meal, a hot shower and a soft bed - truly an experience never to be forgotten!!

Kane Lake Outfitter is for those who want to combine trophy fishing with trophy class guided Saskatchewan black bear hunts and/or moose hunting. Kane Lake Outfitters is located 180 miles (280km) north of La Ronge, Saskatchewan, Canada, in the Precambrian Shield along the sheltered north shore of Kane Lake.
Trophy quality black bears ranging from 6 to 7 feet square are fairly common, with over 70% of our black bear hunters taking black bears in this category in the spring season. The black bear and moose are at an all-time high in our area. Large, spring-lean black bears weight in excess of 400 pounds - and 500 pounds in the fall. The largest bear skulls score over 21 inches!
The majority of our guests come for the excellent fishing, guided Saskatchewan black bear hunts and scenic opportunities, many join us for the excellent food, accommodations and the courtesy of our qualified black bear hunting guides. But almost all relate that a deciding factor is that they can drive to our private, virgin fishing grounds. This eliminates a great deal of the expense normally incurred through the use of float planes and removes the necessity of limiting client luggage to under 40 pounds per guest.

Western Trophy Outfitters is located in central Saskatchewan and our immense territory is a favored habitat for white-tailed deer and black bears with valleys and streams situated on the edge of the Canadian boreal forest and bordered by agricultural land. Western Trophy Outfitters has more than two decades of experience with tremendous success.
Saskatchewan holds the world record for the largest white-tailed deer felled by Milo Hanson with a Boone and Crockett score of 213 points. It is also one of the Canadian provinces that harbors the most trophy class black bears. With a 95 percent success rate, Western Trophy Outfitters is without a doubt the place to go for hunters seeking an exceptional hunt. We enjoys a large deer population and have harvested numerous trophy class specimens with massive antlers with the largest registering 205 Boone and Crockett points. Bear hunters will be happy to learn that we have harvested giants over 7-feet tall, weighing up to 400 pounds, and that our record skull size is 21 inches Pope and Young.
Built in the woods, two miles from a gravel road, our camp is nestled well off the beaten path yet readily accessible by car or float plane, or by flying to Saskatoon where we will gladly meet you on Sunday, and take you back on the following Saturday.
After a two-and-a-half hour drive, you will arrive in our camp and immediately feel at home. You will be greeted as a friend by our highly qualified personnel whose primary goal is to ensure that you have a successful hunting trip while taking care of the numerous details that will make your stay an unforgettable adventure.
Our land covers a vast 450 square kilometers (174 square miles) and the game found here is substantial and abundant. Our camp is comfortable and well-equipped, the food is magnificent and our staff is warm and friendly. No fences, no motels and, above all, great home style meals. Our clients always leave delighted by their experience, already planning their return for their next black bear or white-tailed deer hunting trip.
