Swan are a large bird with wing spans up to 8 feet and body weights in the 20 + pound range. North Carolina is the wintering host for thousands of Swan. We hunt swans in large fields, flooded impoundments and open water.
We have days we decoy over a 600 Swans. An average day swan hunting will produce over a 100 swans in the decoys. We Swan hunt the hot spots in flyways that will surely entertain you with waterfowl of all kinds flying by. This is a hunt you don't want to miss.
Federal Permits issued by the NC wildlife Commission are Required to hunt Swans. YOU HAVE TO APPLY FOR THIS PERMIT BY OCT 1 OF THE YEAR YOU PLAN TO HUNT.
We hunt a 125 mile square area. This includes all the area in pink. We hunt where the swans are. Our guides are constantly scouting to find the strongest population of feeding swans. Keeping up with the changes of wind and hunting pressure, both will cause swans to move. Swans that winter in Eastern North Carolina come here for the rural environment which consists of farming and commercial fishing areas. One of the reason the Swan chose to winter here was the vast amount of open fields and large bodies of water. Great places for Swans to stretch out their wings and find more feed than they can eat.
We have been Outfitters for Swan Hunting since 1986. We launched Swan hunting. com in 2004 to attract an international market. Since then, We have had customer from all over the globe to harvest Swans with us. We enjoy hunting with groups of people that have never had the privilege to harvest Americas Largest Trophy Waterfowl . We have had a 100% success with our customers.
