About Western Lands Outfitters

Texas is a very unique hunting experience. Most of the state is private property. We utilize private ranches to facilitate our hunts. Some are high fenced and others are not. The exotic hunting has over 33 species of animals to hunt.

Our Texas Ranch is located in West Central Texas in Schleicher & Tom Green Counties. Williams Ranch, settled in the middle of brush country hills and live oak trees has been in the family for over 100 years. It is expertly managed and consistently produces trophy quality whitetails. The elevation for this area is a little over 2000 feet. The average temperature in April and the first part of May are in the high 70's to low 80's Fahrenheit. It is nice in the Spring.

The country is broken hills, covered with mesquite, live oaks and cedars. There is a little cactus is some locations. Most of the terrain is rocky along the ridges and the flats are grassy.

The hunts are conducted by 4x4 vehicles and ATVs. The hunt methods used are spot and stalk, baits, and rattling. Most hunters like to combine a turkey hunt with an exotic hunt in April.

All of the animals are in big pastures 800-1200 acres. Sometimes gates are open between pastures that add to the acreage.

After the game is down, we will handle the caping and care for the meat. The hunter will accompany the guide to a meat locker for processing. We have a several excellent taxidermists available if required. Antlers, capes and meat can be shipped at the hunter's expense.

Equipment and Facilities: The lodging in Texas is great. We utilize three different facilities. One is a brand new lodge that sleeps six people. The other is newly remodeled and it also sleeps six. There is another that also sleeps six.

You will have your own cook for your hunts and the food is excellent.
