Utah is located in the western region of the United States and is known for its geological diversity ranging from snowcapped mountains to well-watered river valleys to rugged, stony deserts. Its population is very urbanized, leaving vast expanses uninhabited and abundant with natural wildlife. Many large freshwater lakes cover Utah as remnants of the ancient Lake Bonneville that once covered most of the region. Some outdoor family vacations offered in Utah include Dude Ranch Vacations, Horseback Riding Vacations, Snowmobile Vacations, Ski Vacations, and ATV Tours.
OUTDOORSMAN aims to present only the most reputable outfitters and guides, however, we recognize that there is always potential for personality conflicts and misunderstandings. Therefore, we recommend that you use the 'outfitter submittal' forms to discuss your needs & expectations then gather more information and make an informed decision.

About Beaver Mountain Ski Resort
Beaver Mountain has progressed much in all the years and has been and is still completely family owned. Ted does everything from go with the early crew at 5 a.m. every morning to the mountain to sell hamburgers or ski tickets, whichever needs him most. He is over all the employees and has the last say on the volunteer ski patrol of over 85 people and a ski school of about 60 people. He cleans toilets and unplugs them; he plows parking lots and grooms snow. He also personally oversees every check written out and signs them.
Midway through the 1998 ski season, the boss finally decided it was a good idea to let snow boards on Little Beaver, day and night, and the first Boarder-Cross Race was held on Little Beaver. This has become an annual traditional along with skier crosses and the Big Air contest held on closing day of the season.
Want to get first tracks in the morning at the Beav? Rent the Yurt and sleep next to the slopes. Have breakfast at the lodge with the lifties and get first tracks of the day.
