About Wonderful 1 Charters
Come and Enjoy the Lower Eastern Shores beautiful surroundings ands abundant waterfowl. The hundreds of square miles of unspoiled wetlands provide for some of the best Duck and Goose hunting in the country. Snow, Brant, and Canadian geese, and a wide variety of ducks are a plenty around Chincoteague and Assateague Islands.
Chincoteague Island is known for it's waterfowl that migrate through here every year. Located just hours from Washington and Philadelphia, it offers the best in hunting and exploring the marshes that surround the island. Well protected from the ocean by Assateague Island (Chincoteague Island national refuge), Chincoteague Island offers great hunting and fishing in a relaxed environment.
Hunting rates are $125 per day one half hour before sunrise to sunset. License prices are $40 for three days, please email Captain Lewis for assistance if needed. Hunting season is mid-November through January.
Capt Wayne Lewis is a native of Chincoteague Island and holds a United States Coast Guard Masters Vessel License. Spending his life fishing and hunting the waters around Chincoteague, his knowledge of the area assures his customers of a memorable trip. Capt Wayne Lewis also guides charter fishing trips for Flounder in is vessel, the Wonderfull 1, a spacious 32 foot vessel with a canopy and head. Duck hunts are conducted from 19 foot Carolina Skiffs.
