The Saskatchewan winters have been mild for the last several years and our whitetail deer have flourished. Whitetail hunting pressure is almost non-existent and therefore whitetail bucks tend to grow to maturity, with most never seeing a human. Very few places in the world will offer you better guided whitetail hunts to harvest a world-class whitetail buck. Odds are over 5.5 days, almost every whitetail deer hunter will see a whitetail buck in the 130-150 plus class.
Very few places in the world have a healthier population of black bear than Saskatchewan, Canada. The spring hunt is recommended because the condition of the fur is usually much better. The average hunter will see multiple bears each day while hunting. We usually harvest some color phase bears each year.
Our Team at HORNS WHITETAIL ADVENTURES has for many years proven that superb service, a great area with quality whitetail bucks, large bears and home cooked meals are what makes for an enjoyable whitetail hunting lodge and returning clients. Whitetail deer scouting and stand placement are two of the key factors in putting hunters on quality whitetail deer and bear year after year.
We look forward to the opportunity to serve you on you next guided whitetail hunts!

Alberta & Saskatchewan Guided Whitetail Deer Hunts! Our guided whitetail deer hunts are on farm land, fringe, and the deep woods, by stand hunting, spot stalk, and driving many bush roads. We hunt both private and forest land. We have over 50 heated tower stands in Alberta and this allows us to move around depending on wind conditions for scent control. Our stands are set up mainly on deer trails between the feeding and bedding area on 100 ft wide cut lines. Our stand location is about 200 yards from the primary crossing. This gives you as much time as possible to judge and make the shot.
Along with tower stands we also offer quick pop up blinds. These can be hidden well with all sorts of different type of camouflage patterns, allowing them to be diverse depending on weather conditions. These blinds can be set up in very tight slough bottoms and allow for numerous different set ups for different hunters. I try to accommodate your style of whitetail deer hunting as much as possible taking into consideration the weather forecast for that day to give you the best possible odds at harvesting a trophy buck. Our average Whitetail deer for the past 3 years is 150 BC.
Our lodge boasts all the amenities of home. Accommodations include 2 hunters per room with 5 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. We also have full cell phone coverage, wireless internet, and satellite tv. In the evenings, we also have plenty of room to socialize.

About Trophy Canadian Outfitters
We specialize in hunting mature whitetail bucks - probably the smartest and toughest big game animal to hunt in North America. In our experience over many years, the best opportunities come from stand hunting. Typically this type of deer hunting provides the hunter with a shot at a stationary target from a good solid rest. We use three types of stands; ladder stands, climbers and ground blinds.
We set our stands up on travel corridors or scrape lines in the thick brush away from the field edges. Hunters may be expected to stay in the stand for the entire day, thus cold weather gear is mandatory. Temperatures usually hover around 0 degrees F. but some years it gets even colder and snow is usually present. Your guide will take you into the stand in the morning and then pick you up again in the evening. Since we are hunting during the rut, these mature bucks are moving about all day long. Since they are very wary, they prefer to stay within the thickest travel corridors in their pursuit of a doe.
Rattling and calling work exceptional well in our area so sure you bring your rattling horns, grunt tubes and doe bleats. Call throughout the entire day - but sparingly as every hour or so is plenty.
Hunters should be prepared for shots at up to 300 yards and we recommend you sight your rifle in for 200 but also know where it hits at 300. Most our bucks are shot at between 100 and 200 yards but you should be prepared for that buck of a lifetime if he presents himself at a longer range.
Recommended calibers are .270 or larger, just keep in mind that deer are thin skinned animals and the lighter weight bullets usually expand better thus providing the quicker and cleaner kills that we all prefer.

Alberta is renowned for its large whitetail deer, tipping the scales at well over 300 lbs and our area is no exception. We have whitetail bucks in the 130”-200” class and our clients usually see a couple of these giant whitetails within range each week along with smaller bucks and does. All of our whitetail hunts are conducted from tree stands or ground blinds, hunting crop or timber country. If a trophy whitetail deer is what you are after then Alberta is the place to hunt.
