Alaska Fishing Lodge on the Naknek River & Bristol Bay!
The Naknek River in Alaska boasts major runs of king, red, silver, and pink salmon along with trophy-sized rainbow trout and Arctic Char. The Naknek River and the surrounding Katmai National Park are also habitat for bald eagles, bear, moose, caribou, wolves, and other Alaskan wildlife.
Five species of Alaska salmon spawn into the Naknek River: king salmon (chinook), silver salmon (coho), red salmon (sockeye), Chum Salmon, and pink salmon (humpies, only on even numbered years). The Naknek River produces some of the largest Salmon runs in Alaska. Our superb location enables us to trout fish the entire River. The Alaska Fishing Adventures is located near Katmai National Park in Bristol Bay, Alaska on the banks of the world famous Naknek River. The village of King Salmon is located 320 miles Southwest of Anchorage. We fly you into lodge by floatplane from Dillingham, AK.

For over 30 years Briarwood has been a “slice of wilderness” in central Ohio, embracing a relaxed and casual atmosphere of soothing freshwater amid breathtaking vistas. With a majestic landmass covered with numerous lakes and trout streams, Briarwood is considered to be the largest private fishing resort east of the Mississippi. Our large artesian springs form the headwaters for one of Ohio’s best trout fishing waterways, the Mad River, and we offer some of the finest fishing in the country for Brook, Brown, Golden, and Rainbow trout. With 125 acres of lakes, our waters are the deepest in Ohio, abounding with Small and Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Walleye, Perch and Tiger Musky.
This year we will be opening up our preserve to a limited number of trophy whitetail hunts. Hunters can expect to see several whitetails in excess of 200" and will have the opportunity to harvest the "buck of a lifetime." Click on our hunting page to find out how you can reserve your hunt.
With over 30 years in the industry, Briarwood hosts an amazing array of fishing opportunities. Come fish our streams for Rainbow, Brook, Brown, and Golden varieties of world-class trout. Sixteen lakes are stocked with first-rate Small and Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Crappie, Walleye, Perch, Stripper Bass, and Tiger Musky.
Members have numerous fishing pools to choose from: “Briarwood” (8), “Pine” (5), “Wilderness” (4), and “Mountain Streams” (5), each with its own unique challenge and character. All fish here forage on insects, and we have excellent hatches throughout the fishing season providing plenty of forage base, along with crayfish and other organisms in the streams.
The atmosphere here at Briarwood is very relaxed and casual. For your convenience we have three rustic lodges, each located on its own private lake. Furnished with DirecTV satellite, modern kitchens, massive stone fireplaces, recreation equipment, and large wooden decks complete with outdoor grilling stations.
